Bleeding-edge mentalism designed in the image of Chan Canasta. A participant takes a borrowed deck and shuffles it. You never touch it. Ever. They turn over the top card - it is the Jack of Clubs. Your phone has been on the table the whole time and you tell the participant to open the Facebook app on your home screen. The most recent item on your feed is from a few minutes earlier: it is a photo of you holding a playing card - it is the Jack of Clubs. Boom! Thanks Chan!! And it DOESN'T have to be a photo, it can be just a regular status update: "Someone is about to pick the Jack of Clubs. Who knew? I DID!" or whatever *** thing you want it to say. And yes they could check it on their own phone too. No special app required. No assistant required, this is an entirely self-contained method. No sleight-of-hand required because you NEVER touch the deck! Any deck, no dupes, no preparation. No stooges, instant or otherwise. No dual reality. No fiddling with your phone - it is on the table from the start and THEY check the prediction. You NEVER touch the phone! Nothing extra to buy or learn. You're a mentalist and don't use cards? Prefer to use star signs? No problem. I know, right? And the ad copy is 100% accurate - you never touch the deck or phone. This is effectively 'The Trick That Cannot Be Explained' taken to the max. Oh, and I also include a version where the prediction is revealed BEFOFRE the selection is seen!

This is great. Lots of flexibility to get creative as well.

Method is nothing new but this will play big. PDF is written well as well. |

Disagree reignofsound.
The description is misleading, the method won't work for 90% of the people that buy this; they cannot legitimately use it (of course they can make it work, but if they don't have the stuff already it won't look convincing). £21 is a little ott to be honest. By the way, I paid £40 I think for Limelight, and it is beautiful. This? Not so much. |

Can you elaborate without exposing? The claims of his ad and your words are obviously at odds, and if you're right it's important for the rest of us as you're really putting in on the line. I hope it's not true, that would be disappointing.

The ad is not misleading, per se, it's just for many it will be a lot of effort and to me the method could be a little transparent sometimes, in a way that similar effects may not be.
With that effort everyone can use this, but for a lot of people it will not be practical. Perhaps my first reply was a bit blunt. It's hard to explain without exposure. Put it this way, there's a list of requirements and I would guess that most people will have half or so out of the box, but I doubt most will have all. I have just under half that could be adapted (not necessarily Mark's suggestions). At the end of the day, it's only £21 and if it works for you, it could be great. Edit: Also, maybe I'm just old? I'm 42. I think if I was ten years younger I'd be much closer to the specification. I'm still playing around with it - you need a smart phone, by the way - to see if I can get it working in a way that suits me. |

Adding to what drawfull has said, everyone with a smartphone can make it work. However, as it involves (among other things) Facebook as in the description, for those not very active on the social media channels there will be outcomes that are not as strong as could be. For me (45 currently) it does work, but there are cases where the reveal is less strong. I still like it and have adapted to concept to a different prediction effect which works better for me. So, I am content.
I'd rather be read than (w)ri(gh)t(e)

Thanks m.o.
I didn't want to reference to SM side of it, but that's my biggest issue. |

Yes it takes a one time set up but I do think it is worth it.
You never touch your phone or the deck once the effect begins. |

Reign, the problem for me is that you don't already have the things required, to make them look legit is a bit more than one time set-up (OK you only had to do it once, but it is not quick!).
That said, I do like the idea of using a phone this way and am looking towards the KK route with it, which will allow me a much better fit for 'me'. |

Imagining if I do a walk around show with it...
Then my facebook wall would be flooded with bizarre status updates. LOL.
