I had the Dean's Box and it was a great piece the ring on rope effect used with it was very easy and always got good reactions. What a great loss to the magic world when he passed.
I don't understand all I know about this

It is much better when done with a string held in both ends by two spectators, and the ring "penetrating" the string under a SILK held over the string by the same two spectators (or two other specs). That makes it a fantastic close-up routine.
Cannot for the world see how we are honoring the late and fantastic Mr. Dill by keeping the method a secret. Mr. Dill was well known for publishing great effects, and had he lived longer I would assume he at some point in time would have released this one as well. Unless Mr. Dill specifically said that his method was his, and should never be shared - but I hardly doubt he said that. I would rather believe we would honor Mr. Dill by making a download version of the method, and making the revenues from that download, be donated to his wife/family (after getting their permission). I believe magic shall evolve, and that is best done by sharing in the best possible way. Let me add. I never met Mr. Dill in person, but I did have the pleasure of receiving his service and kind advice via email when shopping from his website. Best Jan |
