A whole list of greeting, today I would like to talk about Phedon's work, in my opinion a very good job, now entered into my shows where success is assured, I would like to post comments from my viewers, write many pages of this blog, And more than a month ago I adopted the method proposed by Phedon that besides being a great artist and a person polite and always available to follow their friends to solve little problems in this month's work after understanding how to best apply the Method I have paired with my character creating other variants, in my opinion it was a great purchase ,,,

Hi Rob
Many nationalities have contacted me. Every time I did my best. Even did Dutch and... Indonesian! But thing is: all these use an alphabet I am familiar with (Latin in these cases). For Hebrew... well... That’s another story And if I can fairly easy design these Proteus charts it’s because after all these languages I got used to it. But it’s not easy and I don’t think they’d be able to do it in Hebrew without help. Shouldn’t I have been that remote I’d have sat down with anyone speaking Hebrew to work a method out. But Cameroon and Greece... 🤨 Phedon

I haven't read all the posts in this thread, but I was more excited about Proteus until I started using it. I have done it ten times now and failed five. One person thought of "orange", another thought of "Dog", and another thought of "Elephant". In the book it says that a seasoned mentalist will see that this will work "100%" of the time, but then the book goes on to say that it was rushed to print, so it hasn't been worked out fully. I agree with the latter. I like the premise, but I see that it really needs a lot of work. One of the problems is that what seems like a "simple drawing" to one person isn't the same for the next person. Even after giving someone the proper instruction, ten people will interpret those instructions ten different ways. I haven't given up on the concept, but I think it needs a lot more work.
I appreciate Phedon making this "start" available, and for sure, I will be putting some work into this to see where it evolves. KJ |

I was in NO way referring to the outs. These are the same I still use, although I have added a few to include what I call the "anglo-saxon" ones (ones that Greeks would never think of but that many Brits and Americans come up with sometimes. Like Lightbulbs. And... DOG!), since I perform a lot for the latter. Now, you are giving examples of failure like: Elephant, Orange and Dog. Well... Dog IS in the Extended chart (I see you do not have it. It's available for free from your dealer OR the FB group. That's ONE of the "anglo-saxon' choices that were added). Elephant and Orange should have never been chosen, and... your script is to be refined. I just sent you a PM to tell you what the problem is. Have a great day Phedon

Even when I've had a miss with Proteus, (honestly rare these days) it's always set the atmosphere.
The visualizations leave the door open, to move into a traditional DD, etc. Also, if you have multiple spectators, including them almost assures a hit. I've been an open fan boy of Proteus since it was released, and it's become a fairly regular effect for me. I'm only posting all this because, I think you'll be pleasently surprised once you find your Proteus Grove® Lol Good luck to you 252Orange

Phedon,
Thanks for sending me the additional information. This is definitely worth working on. I like the supplemental information with more outs. I think this is one of those that if you put in some time to refine the presentation, it will get closer and closer to 100%. Also, I can see where if you do this with two people, the likelihood of a hit with at least one of them is probably around 100% I will be refining my presentation for this. I still think this is probably the best no-prop mentalism routine. KJ |

This baby is a gem of an effect!
I've had my copy of Proteus for about 3 weeks and I have learned it and performed it a bunch of times the past 2 weeks... The first few times weren't the best examples of a smooth performance and I missed a few times. But after some tweaking of MY script, MY delivery and MY outs, I now SLAY with this thing! PS: Phedon is a class act and took the time to get in touch with me to see how well I was doing. There is no doubt he has performed Mind Peek a LOT and the advice he has to give is very helpful. PPS: Why aren't we talking more about "Heads I win, tails you loose", the other effect in the book, which is a terrific effect? |

Hi all,
I recently purchased this and I too thought of DOG when I was reading the book so it didn't work for me but I'm still very keen to stick at it and put in the work it deserves. Can someone please let me know of the Facebook page so I can join the group. I'd also like to obtain the additional info talked about where DOG is included on the chart. Many thanks, Ravi |

Tony Razzano Review:
Welcome to the Rose Garden. What would you say if I found an effect that is propless; works almost 100% of the time;is done with minimal,Invisible and fast procedure ;does not confuse the participant; is easy to do; leaves the participant truly believing they were not restricted and leaves them thinking that they witnessed real mind reading? I can hear your thoughts now. I am hearing “pie in the sky” and “no way” and “ what’s the catch” and so on. Well read on dear friends, I am going to tell you about one. Phedon Bilek has come out with an effect called Proteus…Drawing Duplication Reimagianed. In all of my years of writing reviews, not just for Vibrations, but on various forums, only once before have I ever used the following sentence. “This is a gem”! Well, this is a gem! You can do it as a drawing dupe. But it is so much more than that! It is more of a divination. Drawing dupe is only one way to routine this effect. I use it propless. The name of the actual effect is Mindpeek Do me a favor and take a few minutes to watch the trailer to get an idea of how good this is. After you watch the trailer , come back here so we can talk about this. Go ahead and watch. I’ll wait… https://www.alakazam.co.uk/product-prote......eus.html Back so soon? I can hear you now thinking, “It’s an anagram,” and walking away disappointed. But read on my friends. The method is an anagram, but the best I have ever seen. The effect, however, is mind reading. Pure mind reading. Please go back to the trailer and notice how few questions are asked of both Peter and Dave, and not all the questions are about letters, but other things that lend to masking of the method. That is part of the genius of the whole thing. Notice the instructions Phedon gives to the guys. That is pretty much your script. This script is crafted to lead your participant(s) to believe that they could think of anything they wanted while it sets certain parameters. It is within these parameters that you will work I really like to work with two participants, as Phedon does in the trailer, but there is no need for that. It’s just personal preference. OK, so you tell the participant basically to think of anything they want…but, not in those words. Your instructions will make it SEEM like that. There are in fact, seventeen items that people choose. Remember how that was at one time restricted to a few of the the most thought of items? Well there are seventeen here. I remember that one of my friends had twenty items, but he carried around twenty outs in his wallet. Remember this can be totally propless. No physical outs, as it were. Now, as to the anagram. Phedon goes into great detail on how to effectively use the anagram. The basic anagram is ****. (…) This method covers all seventeen outs in about 30 seconds or fewer. If you are a different kind of learner, there are charts in the book that cover the anagram also. Detailed charts; not the kind we are used to. These charts will help with the anagram and the groups if you need them. Or you can just memorize the items. Whatever works for you. The script is short but is very important. It psychologically limits them to one of the seventeen outs. I have done this about sixty or seventy times and because of the script every person has thought of one of the seventeen outs. It is pretty amazing. That’s part of why I say this is a gem. Now here is the part that is really valuable. You can try this on yourself. “How?” you ask. I knew you would ask that! Its my job! Anyway, in Phedon’s words ,”…before we get into the bare bones, I would like you to experience Mindpeek as a Recipient… the little game I am about to propose …” is, as far as I know, unique in its purpose and that is to experience the effect as a participant would. It comes very close to that.. It really impressed me. Then he teaches you how to use the anagram. Not difficult. He gives you mnemonics for the groups. The groups throw most people off the track if they are thinking that you are spelling the word. You are not.The groups are discussed in depth and they are part of the genius of this work. Phedon reviews the script with you and explains the psychology of the wording of the script. It is very solid. This is why it works almost 100% of the time. After this, there are several types of reveals discussed, as well as possibly doing a reading. You can make up your own reveal of course, but the ones in the book are very good. On page 82 there is a caveat. We are cautioned to “Never perform twice in front of the same audience or for the same subject.” Hmmmm… sounds magicky, doesn’t it? Well it isn’t This takes NOTHING away from the effect at all! Here , though, is a nice way to do the effect for two people at once. If you go back and watch the trailer on Alakazam, this is exactly what he does with Peter Nardi and Dave Loosley neither of whom were stooges and their reactions were real. They had no idea how it was done. Also, notice how few questions were asked and what the questions were. Luca Volpe has a nice suggestion. Peter Turner’s writings, actually a chapter, is absolutely brilliant! Now most of you who know me know that I am not a fan of Peter’s stuff, so it really must be good for me to make such a statement. It is!! Most (about 88%) of the outs will be reached with only two or three letters. This statement from the section of the book called “Final Points”. This section is full of tips to make things go very smoothly for you. Most valuable. OK, go back and read my first paragraph. That is what this is and it delivers on those promises. These are taken from page 17 of the book and are accurate and I can personally vouch for that. You just have to put in a little time and study and you will have an outstanding effect. Basically the participant thinks of anything and you reveal it. No props, unless you choose to include them. There is a bonus effect called “Heads I Win, Tails You Lose”. Yes it is a prediction of what coin, there are three, is in what hand and what coin is in a pocket. The paper with the predictions is on the table from the beginning of the effect. Then it gets even better. I have never seen one of these types of effects this good! I could go on about the details in Proteus that make Mindpeek such a beautiful effect, but as you know, space in Vibrations is limited. I dare to say that it might even take up most of an issue. That’s how much great detailed instruction is in this book. OK, Proteus with Mindpeek and the bonus effect has my highest recommendation. It is a great effect with a great method. $55.00 from Alakazam. At that price, it is a real bargain! Right now, Linda is bringing some tea out to the Rose Garden. If you are ever in the area, stop in for a visit.

Hi all
I hadn't used Proteus for a bit. Tonight I sat at a table with a mom and her two kids, and it seemed appropriate. (kids ages 13 and 15) I decided to try all three at once. Triple hit. And since the mom and daughter, had the same image in mind, it hit extra strong. I was concerned that at least one would be a miss, but nope. This is such a great effect that I wanted to share this one. (Hellllooooo Phedon! Still want to catch up one day on Skype Hope you're doing great brother) Ok, end of ramble 252TreesAndOneSun
