Madison - Thanks for the review. I did laugh a little at your comment there was no filler when all the pages you showed were lovely full colour pictures etc that were 'filler' (very aesthetic though).

Just sent for it & it said that my address has not been recognised & I have not been charged.
So, I sent for it again & again it said my address has not been recognised & I have not been charged. So I contacted Paypal & went on my account & HAVE been charged twice for the same book & twice the postage. However, one of my magic buddy's would like a copy so all has ended well. Looking forward to this. Mike Donoghue |

Hey Mike-
I had saw you been charged twice and immediately emailed asking if you meant to do so but I see it is okay now. My first time using this commerce site so sorry for the trouble. I will have the books in the mail to you tomorrow. Ryan |

Cheers Ryan,
that's great. I have a magic buddy(Mick Wilson. Creator of S.D.P) & he is a fan of your stuff as well, so he says that he will have the other copy so that is cool. Looking forward to getting the book as everything you release is really great. Thanks. Mike Donoghue |

Hey guys,
So just like Madison, I actually take the time and go out and perform these effects, so our reviews though separate, are literally after having worked the routines and tested them out so we can get a feel on how they play out in the real world. Bear in mind, one of the routines from False Anchors, I have only performed about 6 times over the weekend, so not a full set yet, but you can get a feel on how it plays. So here it goes. Like Madison says, you get an Introduction from Ryan, and great pictures throughout the book. 1) I LOVE YOU A totally fair and borrowed shuffled deck routine, in which a spectator selects any card, puts it back inside the deck, shuffles, yet you have full control over the card. There is something that is left out, but that something goes unnoticed, trust me, I have performed this a lot since getting the book and nobody suspects a thing. A routine that you will enjoy performing. Easy method, great presentation, you don't have to use Ryans, you can develop your own, as have I, to make it have that mentalism feeling to it. 10/10 2) Secret Sauce Switch Though I performed it, and like the switch involved, there is always one routine or more in any release, be it that book or DVD, that one will not perform for personal reasons, or simply because they do not think they will use it. This switch is meant to be used in other routines, like the Stranger Card routine, etc, etc. Great for mentalism or card magic in general, but I feel I will be performing other routines from the book more than this one. 8/10 3) Strange Gift A lead in to OOTW, or simply an effect in itself, fooling, foolproof, and easy to do. Will fool everyone you perform it for. Many people are talking about this one, and its one of my favorites from the book. A worker. 10/10 4) In-Air Transpo don't overlook this one, like Madison says, this has the cleanest transpo you have ever seen, its great You can do it as part of an ACR routine, or as a routine by itself. 10/10 I think with at least 1 routine you get from this book it is worth the $35.00 a price of a download or DVD, but here you get 3 excellent fooling routines. The one that will take the most practice is In Air Transpo, but you should be able to get it if you are an experienced card handler, and if not, you will get it, but will take you some time and practice to make it look smooth. All in all, one of the best purchases of 2017. Def a good year with the release of so many great products like Proteus, IS3, V2, and more to come later. These are limited so contact Ryan and get yourself one, you wont be disappointed. Alex Alejandro

Wow, these are great reviews!
I have Ryan's Penguin lecture, but that's it. So, just curious how this compares to Bannon's work or even the BBM self-working dvd's. (I have many of those, so just wondering how Ryan's approach compares.) Also, if I don't have any of Ryan's releases (other than his Penguin lecture), which release would you recommend starting with? Is False Anchors the best place to start?

Tim, Ryan has come leaps and bounds since his penguin lecture. In my opinion, the Ryan you see nowadays has a different way of thinking about magic.
His DVD Sleightly Sleighty is fantastic. I highly recommend it. Get that DVD and get this book and you'll be all set. There's a full performance of my favorite effect from the sleightly sleighty DVDs on the trailer for the DVDs. Madison |

Tim-
I definitely agree with Maddy. My style of magic has completely changed since the penguin lecture. (The stuff I taught was mainly things I did in restaurants) The only effect on there to compare would be sense-sational. My DVDs with BBM fall more in line with what False Anchors is all about. Ryan |

Not gonna do a lengthy review; just going to say the concept of False Anchors is wonderful! From a trick construction standpoint it's a great added element to apply. "What will they remember?" As soon as I read the book (which was quick because I was so excited) I started thinking of ways to apply this concept to other tricks I do. My favorite trick is the color sense routine! Anyway, if you don't have volume 1, you should definitely give it look. Can't wait to read the next volume to see how Ryan expands on this great idea.

Yes it is a good idea.I love Madison's reviews but I feel he went a little over the top on this!
I wanted to present 'I love you' as a sort of 'Emotional Reaction' card trick but I was a bit let down to read it is not 100% and may not work in a a damp climate! I live in a damp [at times] climate!
