I'd have kept the bishop and just smashed.

You're both more subtle than me. My inclination would be to quietly regroup and cash in the material later.

I would suggest that's pretty much what I've done, or at least taken a step toward doing. In lieu of moving an already-developed piece (the dark squared bishop) two MORE times to grab another pawn (after Be3+), I've eliminated all future possibility of Nc7 tactics and developed another piece (the a8 rook), with Nf6 to follow, if the threat of Be3 is met. The fact that casting long carries a nasty threat with it is just frosting.

Guess they forgot to tell Bill Buckley.

Yes, but you've done it actively, maintaining tension in the centre and on the Q-side. Which is what I should try to do, but often I play more passively.

Yes, and apparently they're being sponsored by the Pony Express, which has reformed solely to carry the moves of the games.

Last we heard the rider carrying Lobo's move got lost while going through the desert; while the rider carrying Bill's move got involved in a poker game and lost everything, including his horse.
To be fair, he had acesover, which we all know is a hand you can't lay down - unless you know what you're doing of course.

The world waits to see if their moves will eventually make it to their adversary.
If you need fear to enforce your beliefs, then your beliefs are worthless.
