Fellow Magi, I could use some help!
I have been looking recently for a better way to bring coins in and out of play. I live in Arizona, so long sleeves/jackets are out of the question (except for maybe a month of the year!) so I am limited on what devices I can use. Unfortunately, a lot of the good ones have clothing requirements that I cannot work with (Secret Servant, Blackbird etc.) I do wear collared shirts when I am working an event [usually with sleeves rolled up in the summer] and use the TKO for ditching and can use it to produce a coin but struggle when trying to get multiple coins. Otherwise, I prep while walking table hopping but I would like a way to get into it in front of people. Ideally, I am looking for a something that I can clip to my belt and cover with a shirt/t-shirt and produce coins from; if I could ditch using it too that would be amazing, but I know you can't win them all! Any advice, input would be appreciated. Thanks Side Note: I like to use real coins (walking liberties) which have no magnetic properties. |

If you don't tuck your shirt inside your trousers you could probably use Sean Goodman's Secret Servente which is perfect for producing and ditching coins, he uses the Café under the name of simplymagicweb and is very helpful try sending him a PM I'm sure he'll be able to help.

Warren, thanks for the advice, do you own one? Maybe you could clarify a little, I have looked into a secret servant and am still a little unsure of what it actually is. I talked to support at Penguin and they told me I had to have a jacket to use it and when I told them the parameters I had to work with they said it wouldn't work for me, was that incorrect information?
Thanks. Side Note.. I sent simplymagicweb a message, hope to hear back from him. |

I do own one, I haven't actually used but don't let that put you off I just haven't been using routines that require me to use it just yet, however I think its a great piece of kit and I do intend to put it to good use.
I believe you could get away with it without a jacket as the thing that keeps it in place with out giving anything away is very small however Sean is the man to ask. Just another thought have you considered wearing a waist coat as that would definitely allow you to use the secret servante plus give you some extra pockets ? |

Hi BritishMagic - dropped you a pm but to clarify SS will let you steal and ditch multiple coins individually - four half dollars plus a shell etc. It is usually attached to a jacket, but magicians have also used it with a waistcoat and attached to a belt. One guy also uses it with a tee shirt and kindly shared this with me and it's included on the instructional website.
Coins are retrieved and ditched as your hand falls to your side. It's very natural and simple to use. Here's a video of me using it to produce and ditch 4 coins within a coins across routine https://youtu.be/80jEfFpAW7s Cheers
