Hi everybody,

I love this group. So much knowledge here. Anyway, my son and I are going to start pitching Svens around our area in Florida. Of course, we’ve been studying the terrific Don Driver material and it looks like his recommended deck is still available. But, what’s the best source for Two-Card Monte and the Magic Worms these days?

Welcome to pitching. You make up the 2 card monte yourself. I've sent you a pm.

Hello pitch52! Welcome to this corner of the Café..!

It's so cool that your kids wanna go pitching with you.. I tried with mine but only the smallest one wants to join dad.. Lol!

I'm on the road now but once I get a chance I'll PM you two sources for the 2 card Monte... never tried making my own but don't know..

Do you just glue 2 cards or split them then glue em?

Thanks everyone for the help. I think the schools should all be teaching salesmanship as a mandatory class. It's a valuable life skill everyone needs. I can't think of a better way to learn than pitching.

I agree with you 1000%... It's all sales in life... no matter if it's for a product, service, a job or even your spouse... Lol!

Pitching will make you a wiser salesman and a better magician because it's all about people skills... and you'll very soon find out that everyone is no better than you...

And you'll also bring in the scratch at the same time...!

Magic City in Paramount, CA has a great online biz and has double backed and double faced Bicycle decks. I think they were $6.00 a deck when I bought a few years ago. Gerald is the owner and great guy.

I agree that the 3 card Trick (AKA The Dutch Looper) is a very impressive trick yet simple to make... but difficult to perform and being that I'm not a magician, It would be very difficult to do those moves.. unless I put plenty of time to practice it..

But I must admit that it Looks so good I'm thinking of putting the time to learn it...!

Also one of the main reason the marks will buy is if they believe they themselves can do it...

The 2 card Monte clearly gives them the impression that it's super easy to do and that my friend will bring in the sales...

BTW I don't pitch the 2 card Monte anymore.. I did with much success about 15 years ago..

And I used 3 gimmicked cards instead of 2 with a whole different routine ending with a grand finaly...!

Never used it as a kicker though..
