Ah, the good old days of over the top acting and low tech. Showing your age, that 5 year series ended 1964 when I was a baby. Not all episodes were good that's for sure, but the story concepts for a lot of them were the best. Since you raised the thread and are a big fan maybe you recommend a list of the top ones (I believe there were about 150?)

Sometimes things disappear and sometimes things appear from nowhere like that that new island in the Bermuda Triangle. . .

Talking Tina was a great one ! My fav 2 with William Shatner - Terror at 20,000 ft & Nick of time.
& the great Burgess Meridith in Printer's Devil. Grew up with OL at a kid & whenever they have an OL marathon I'm chilling on the couch !! Many stars got they're intro chops from that show....& other just continued to greatness ! |

I watched Twilight Zone because, back then, a little weird and unusual was good for the soul. However, the modern society is weirder and more unusual than Twilight Zone could imagine, and it's considered normal.

Black Mirror is kind of the modern version of TZ (speaking of mirrors)

You missed your setup. How about the Outlaw episode where everyone wonders where it went and it starts all over again like groundhog day.

And this little kid actor eventually became Lost in Space. Without looking him up, what was his name?
This episode was remade in that terrible Twilight Zone movie, it was one of the four segments of that movie. |

There was an episode that had a huge impact on my 5 year old self. It starred Robert Culp. The denouement was Culp peeling back the skin of his wrist to reveal gears. He was a robot who thought he was human. That episode set up questions in my young brain....as did many other episodes, like " the Monsters are due on Mulberry Street". It's good to question things. Twilight Zone helped me realise that

I used to love the Marathons, and then I but the definitive DVD collection years ago with all the extra things - and having it on tap always created this weird effect of not watching it "rerun live" - but I should get around to a TZ party this year! Maybe this will be a Halloween Theme - thanks Tony!
