I've been messing with this for a while and I've finally tweaked it to where I'm happy with it.
It's a Copper Silver routine with a roundhouse kick. Let me know what you think. Rick <--- PRESS FULL SCREEN |

Well, I sure see a lot of similarity to (likely influence from) MB's Copper Silver Inc (http://www.vinnymarini.com/download/csi2.html).
Fortunately I like that one, already, so this one's great, too, with a twist of Hellbound Spellbound in there. Overall, excellently done. Some thoughts: I'm not personally a big fan of over-proving that the coins are real. She didn't seem to have a lot of excitement to look at the coins the second time, it kind of felt like she didn't know what to do with them. The first time you just said "they're old and beautiful". Maybe say a few words more? For the final change, I liked that you let her say when to have the coins switch - yet you then stole it back by snapping your fingers! Maybe have her snap hers? Other than that, I thought it was incredibly smooth and natural - you've obviously practiced it a ton. If I hadn't known what to look for, I probably wouldn't have seen any of it. I'm curious: if she'd said silver first, would you have made the copper coin disappear, or would you have tossed the coins to the other hand? |

Thanks Tons for watching.
I've actually been toying with this for quite some time. It's gone through a lot of changes over time. I've seen MB's routine and it is great as always, but the main influence here is "Presto Chango" from Bobo's. I do, of course, use MB's visual handling of the DeManche change which is such a useful tool whether it's seen or unseen. I've been using that for years (since Magic Video Depot haha) everyone should check out any of MB's downloads for great insight on that change. I always loved "Presto Chango", but thought it needed more of a conclusion. If I'm feeling fancy I go for the Chinese coin switch, but I most often do a legit transpo with the copper and silver with their hands. "Presto Chango" needed that ending. And you asked "if she had said silver first?" I say, "ok, watch that silver coin as it changes to copper" if she says copper, I say, "ok, watch... now they're both copper" Thanks again, Consider subscribing if you haven't already. Rick |

Ahh, of course. I'd forgotten Presto Chango, I should have realized it was originally in Bobo - very little these days is truly original (no offense intended).
Reading it again, I agree that I much prefer your (and MB's) interpretations, wrapping Presto Chango into something bigger. MB also liked the in-the-hands switch. Keem 'em coming. |
