Hey all,
Just downloaded this from the app store, he's not shouted about it, but after practicing it on skype with a mate it's INCREDIBLY powerful. Highly recommend you check this out. It even keeps the option before so you can throw a Pete Turner in there and get them to change their mind. Revealing what they were thinking of before they settled on that option. Wow! - G |

For example, you pull up a list on their phone of the top 100 movies and you turn your back and as they are just scrolling through the list, the app tells you what they are thinking of without them typing anything, tapping, nothing like that. It is different enough and does provide some variety. So as an example with inject you might say, "go ahead and think of your favorite movie and google the movie poster in a google image search" (then you would know the movie) With Xeno, you give them a list of movies and say "Go ahead and scroll through and just thinking of one of the movies on the list, got one? Now lock your phone" In this action you would know what they are thinking of. -Eli |

I purchased this and I rather like it!
It has some distinct advantages to Inject but it also has some disadvantages as well. In Inject, someone googles any piece of information they want. You can also use Inject to predict something the spectator will choose. It works both ways. With this, they go to a specific website, scroll through and read information on one of them. You could then tell them which one they selected. Obviously, each have their advantages and disadvantages. For $17, it's definitely not bad. |

So, I'm a Kerstein fan and I have a few questions about this.
This sounds similar to Wikitest, but the price is significantly less. On the app page advert, it says: 1) Only the spectator's phone is in play. [Does this mean my phone is just not seen, or not used at all?] 2) You never touch the spectator's phone. [Eli mentions the performer pulling up a list on their phone.] Xeno sounds great, but I feel like I'm missing something with the $17 pricetag when Wikitest and Inject are both $70+. What are the main pros those apps have over Xeno? ||sean ||

You never touch their phone and your phone is in play. It uses the same peek as wikitest.
But G's initial post makes it sound like you can reveal any thought. This isn't true. You can ONLY reveal a starsign, song, movie, boy name, or girl name. That's it! That's your only options. |

Bought it - Inject is more powerful, but I like this a lot for its simplicity and will definitely use this!!! Might be a good intro to Wikitest.....go from this to let them search for anything they want instead of choosing from options in a list. Wow -- I was having a blast playing with this on my computer and phone -- these magic apps are FUN!

Magicians are a funny bunch hey.
I don't have Inject, but I have Marc's other projects. And they are projects, because each one is so well thought out and is developed continuously. Marc has been gracious enough to give us something that allows us to do really incredible things and potentially give people truly amazing experiences. In the 1900s, everyone had a deck of cards in their house and it was a common object. The magician was able to take a common object and do incredible things with it. In many ways, phones are like this now and it's a great utility to be able to use them in magic. Xeno is a new app and Marc has said it's still in its early stages, but I think it's wonderful. For the most part, it is a cleaner and more intuitive method for preshow than even a imp pad, although there's nothing wrong with imp pads per se. We must remember that it's not *just* being able to reveal a boy's name, girl's name, movie, song or star sign... that is a lot!!!! And to reveal one of those in such a clean way where nothing is typed in, it's amazing. It's equivalent to someone glancing over a page, thinking of something and with no fishing, revealing what they are thinking of!!!! I do believe the phone should always be used as a utility, as an expedient way for someone to get something g in mind - like looking up a Wikipedia article, or reading a short horoscope about a star sign to see if it fits them. Then they put their phone away. To introduce yours and show a prediction on it starts to get too tech-centric. That's what I love about Marc's work. The focus is always on the ideal effect and maximizing its power and potential. It reminds me of the old quote "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic". This is certainly the case with ALL of Marc's effects. I wholeheartedly recommend all of Marc's work, and Xeno is no exception. It's an extremely useful utility and a great effect on its own. I'd suggest getting one of his effects, really placing yourself in the spectator's shoes and thinking about how you can create a beautiful memory for them with it - because you'd really only need to own one effect then, these things are that powerful. I think we forget how powerful sometimes and there is a tendency to trivialize them in performance. Pick it up and do yourself and your audiences a favour |

From all descriptions above I couldn't understand the process.
the spectator look on his phone on a list of names, for example names of girls ( from where is this list ? ) he didn't mark a specific name nor type it, only think on one name from the list, and still I can tell this name ?? sound impossible. in the AD its says " only the spectator's phone is in play , but its obvious that the peek happen in my phone ( like WIKItest ) so the AD not so accurate. |

For those who know how to use something like this effectively, and especially clandestinely, this is a fantastic tool.
It's all in the reflexes.

The lists are well motivated and make sense. Yeah it does sound impossible. Marc offers another suggestion to get the peek, which I use. But with a little thinking it's easy to disguise peeks in larger presentations. The ad copy in Marc's products isn't deceptive in my view. |

Does the webpage look like something that already exists such as google search or similar?
