A couple years ago I was working on some new effects, and I was interrupted by a project at work. I found this card I'd gaffed in a deck and can't remember what effect it was connected ... any ideas? It's on the back of a joker. If I was working on it I must have thought quite a bit of it at the time, but it's notin my notes. I'm going through my books but thought maybe someone could help me speed up the search. Fee free to PM me as well.

Ok... figured it out, and only went through 5 books to find it! Anyone wanna guess? (I actually used the same suit and value used in the illustration)

A variation of FF card, though I have not seen one in quite that form before.

It was Paul Curry's Open Prediction. I started working on it, need to pick it back up.

In case it helps for the future: I have just started in card magic and following a hint from this forum I have used a log-notebook where I keep track of all the card tricks (games) I like and practice. I leave enough room for future addendum's, as I practice and discover things I like, do not like or struggle.
I should have used a ring-binder type of notebook, to move and group things as needed, but I only discovered that after a while :o((
Can you keep a secret?.....So can I ;o)

With a digital notebook, you can also include a picture of gaffs you're working on.

I used Evernote for a couple months, but I'm not a fan of monthly payments for something that I already have something similar (OneNote from Microsoft).
I liked Evernote, it worked across multiple devices, but in the end decided the money was better spent elsewhere. Dave |

Just looked again and they've increased limits on Basic version so it may be a viable solution now.
Thanks PL. Dave |

I use Evernote for everything. Great tool. It's annual cost (which I like for the advanced search abilities) is inexpensive when you consider the cost of Moleskine notebooks. Easy to snap pic so ofnpages too.
The fact that I didn't document this card was what was so puzzling. Usually doesn't happen. M |

Master.. ha I sincerely wouldn't say that! But Evernote has made my disorganized life easier! Actually, you made a great point. I'm glad you opened up that conversation.
