When Phedon Bilek showed me Proteus on a video call, instantly I was inspired and out brought up so many possibilities in my head's
It was a well oiled, effective and overall very workable machine for those moments when you need to bring down the house in the spur of the moment. With complete blessings from Phedon, Fraser Parker stepped up to bat putting his unique hyper clean techniques for propless mind reading to work. I'll be doing a video review for this ASAP, but I thought I'd go ahead and let you all into the action. Check it out and I'll see you on your side of the screen with a more detailed review soon! http://www.fraserparker.co.uk/drawing.htm XX, -Jacob |

The ad copy is a bit confusing... so the spectator tries to guess your drawing but then you guess theirs?

Instead of a review why not give us a performance as Phedon provided.
It'd be great to see and compare. Joel

I've had a chance to read this.
As the ad copy says, it's set of Fraser's take on MindPeek by Phedon. Fraser eliminated the need to call out any letters. And in Fraser's usual style, he added in a reframe concept so that the spectators believe the didn't give you any information about their drawing. The effect appears as this: Your spectator thinks of a drawing and so does the performer. The spectator attempts to guess the performer's drawing. The performer even gives clues. They either fail or succeed. You the tell them to concentrate on their drawing and without them saying a word, they think of their drawing and you draw it. If you don't have Proteus, I highly suggest getting it first and then picking this up because they are very similar. Essentially what's different here is that Fraser eliminates them ever telling you any information about the drawing. So if you feel like Proteus feels like a "game of 20 questions." Then this may be for you. Will I use it? Personally, no because I think Proteus is more than deceptive enough by itself. However, I certainly see the value in this and I think for a lot of people, this may be the solution they were looking for. Do note: this uses the same drawings from Proteus. So if you're having trouble getting hits, this isn't really going to help with that. If you're getting hits but want to add a layer of Deception, this is worth picking up. Madison |

Hi Joel,
I'm actually considering that as it really is intuitive and simple enough to do without any real memorization, but I'm not putting a clip up unless it passed by Fraser first. Keep an eye out, it may be a thing. 🙂 Talk Soon, -Jacob |

As much as Proteus was groundbreaking and opened a lot of doors, I never really liked the idea of naming letters in a DD... Fraser has removed that problem and, in the process, made the whole thing easier to memorize and perform.
This, IMHO, looks like real mind reading should look. The kind of mind reading where you're showing your world to the participant and letting him have a go. He does miss, but misses in a way that he feels there was something there... that he almost had it. When your turn comes and you effortlessly read his mind, he feels you've shared something with him and were not just showing off. It feels natural, the process makes sense and the result is a very nice "moment of mystery" as my friend Pablo likes to say. Also, unlike Proteus, this is NOT language dependent. But adding outs to this system might take a little more work than with Proteus. |

This has me interested - especially as I so love effects where the spectator is involved and uses their intuition (it is for this reason Michael Murray's Between the Lines is one of my all time favourites.)
Look forward to reading and learning more about this. Neil |

After ouija and rose, Fraser got me really disappointed. It was two of my worst purchases in many many years...
Now I'm bound to be a step back with any realease from Fraser. I thought his methods were obvious as I figured them out from description before seeing the method. As a final test, I tried with audience... the naive ones confused themselves with the process and the smart ones kinda figured out something fishy going on. Up to now, I'm really disappointed. In fact, I'm still very curious as to why he took away "A rose by any other name" from penguin (where I got it). Kinda strange...

Yes, it is because of the stinkers I too am holding back.
The premise of this new effect sounds wonderful but need to be convinced just how practical it is. |

I got this. This is a rip off. The worst trick I have ever purchased. Waist of money. Nothing improved or added or anything. It is just a bold simple change in the script. "Instead of asking like this just say it like this. This is all you get. Now I know why Phedon allow Parker to put this out. Because it does not adds or do or improve or says anything.
What a way to make money Mr. Fraser Parker. Get a job instead. I am sorry but it makes me mad when people takes advantage just to make money |

It sure seems like a money grab. There is a Facebook group where people can share their ideas on Proteus. Not Frazer Parker, he writes his idea up and flogs it as a PDF. And then gets his mate to start a thread on the Café to advertise it. Come on now, surely i’m Not the only one thinks this is off.

I understand that is your opinion and you're entitled to that, BUT somehow I get the feeling you haven't even taken this out yet to use it plus you're personally attacking a friend of mine. That's pretty fishy in my opinion. Look, Fraser goes out and works this material daily, he's the kind of guy that tests an idea in the harshest environments possible just to refine it and has no problem with missing because he gets that its all about the experience. I know because I see quite a bit of the footage he has been collecting lately. All that being said... Fraser didn't get me to write anything, I ain't no number, I'm a free man mucka Lucka's I put these reviews up because I see potential in something and it is the reason that I only do reviews of things I like or that I took something valuable away from. This is a simplified similar, but different beast of an effect. You're welcome to not like it because I've been using it for those moments when you need something and you have nothing because it fits my style. Peter Turner used it on me before Fraser had sent me the .pdf and it was spectacular, the main new principle alone that carries over from Fraser's other release is worth the price of admission. All this being said, some of you will get this and be able to make this fiddle sing then others won't even pick it up and attempt to strike a single note. For the latter, I am sorry for you because this is an excellent effect that has great minimalism in it's approach as well as a brilliant subtlety that I have never seen before to make the work happen while amping up the impossibility of the revelation at the end. All that being said, the video review should hopefully be done soon. Talk Soon, -Jacob |
