Anyone know about this or have thoughts: http://www.penguinmagic.com/p/S23278

Here is the ad:

Scratch everything you know about torn paper effects. This piece of magic seems impossible even for magicians. From the mind of Smagic, we bring to you a fresh eye catcher that looks utterly amazing.

This is Separate!

Watch closely -- a bill with a mark placed on it is inserted vertically into a special, horizontal window envelope - the spectator can see the bill at all times - part of it is seen in the window, while the rest of it sticks outside the envelope. Without the magician touching the bill, the portion visible inside the window begins to move by itself, separating into a position where it is no longer aligned with the rest of the bill that sticks outside of the envelope! It moves, separates, and then returns to its beginning position. Moreover, the magician is never seen to have moved his hand in any way - only his eyes! It's like having a superpower. Afterwards, the magician is able to immediately return the bill to the spectators, leaving them in utter disbelief. This is paper cutting for this day and age.

THank you RNK for bringing this effect to our attention. IT certainly looks very visual. A close-up version of cutting a woman in half, especially if using the Queen of Hearts.I assume the bill can be borrowed, but the portion of the bill that is actually inserted into the windowed portion of the envelope must contain the performer's own markings. Wink. Wink. I wonder how many envelopes are provided and if the DVD teaches how to make your own.

Very visual, but all the attention will be on the envelope at the end...

Yes this is definitely an effect you do not want to perform for family and friends but I think when you are performing for strangers you can get away without handing out the envelope.

The first clip is of a bill moving where both ends have been signed. I can't help but wonder how realistic that is - if both ends can be signed by a spectator, rather than one needing to be your signature...

I wonder how the back of the envelope looks. The back of the envelope is never shown throughout the whole demo. Makes me wonder. It would be nice to know if you can show or at least flash the back to the audience?
