I have been using a a photographic crib for both Room Service and the Witches Almanac.
Since the "Fathoms" crib that I designed has been so well received, I am going to release these two cribs to the "Spooky" folks. No preorders. I'm not going that route. Both of the cribs are based on antique photos. The Room Service crib has an appropriate picture and the same goes for the Witches Almanac crib. Just as I did with the "Fathoms" crib, Room Service and the Witches Almanac crib will come with instructions on how to introduce the photo, naturally, so it becomes almost forgotten by the spectators. Yet you will have all of the information you need for both effects at your fingertips. What I am trying to do at the moment, is find the correct paper to mount the photos on. Both of my cribs are mounted on a square of stiff paper, taken from a couple of blank end pages, from some of my antique book collection. But I don't think I, or my partner, would want me to go through all of our books, tearing out the end pieces. She already "smacked" me when she found out about the ones I made for myself. So, I need to source a stock of paper, a bit stiffer than regular printer paper, that has a nice, aged look. When I'm ready, "Spooky" will be the first to know of the availability of the cribs. I think you will find these cribs quite clever. The pictures can actually be handed to the spectator for a moment and they won't catch a thing. Yes, I am being a bit vague on how I hide so much information on a picture, but you will eventually have access to the cribs and understand what I have done.. And again, thanks to all the support on the "Fathoms" crib. |

Oh man--me too!! The FATHOMS crib arrived and is absolutely incredible, so consider me all in for Room Service! (You might want to get with Vic and see about some kind of partnership if these are going to keep coming...)

And did you sign up for the new Luna series? My darned memory is the only real stumbling block to these types of routines, so I'll keep ordering these terrific cribs as they are available...

Does everyone's room service look like it's been urinated on, or is that just mine?

I have tried my routine with it and I never got the same reaction that I do with Room Service. Maybe it's because of it being based on a foreign institution, what ever, I can't connect my audience with the book (and I have a very good script that I wrote for the book(s). I think I may have even made one of my photographic cribs for the first Luna, I'll have to dig my Luna box out and see. |

Update.
I just sourced three different craft papers from Amazon, will be here Friday, I'm hoping that one of the items will work for the backing I need for the crib. We'll see. Maybe I will get around to doing some art and craft this week, although I do have a story to cover on Saturday. But anyway, moving ahead. |
