I am looking for more material similar to life death and other card tricks by Robert E. Neale?? I have found that a story can help me remember when iam supposed to do a sleight. For example the Twins which requires a gemini count, the story that goes with this helps me remember the moves I have to perform. There is also a trick called Mr Mcawber in the Robert E. Neale book which provides a story which helps perform the moves that is basically twisting the aces by dai vernon. It is these type of books that provide a story that iam looking for, so any help would be much appreciated.

Try "Tricks of the Imagination" also by Robert Neale.

Ariel Frielich (sp?) published a book containing story effects with cards.I don't think it was as good as the Neale book, but that's only my opinion.

Greetings,
There is a fun effect for kids out there called "Once Upon a Time" by Hollingsworth (if memory serves). The performer tells three fairy tales using a deck of picture cards. Otherwise, you might consider asking yourself, "What stories do I want to tell?" and then find the card trick to illustrate it. Good Luck, Sam Haine

-Capricornian Tales, Christian Chelman.
-The Practitioner: Journeys into Grey, Gene Poinc. -The Book of Haunted Magick, Rick Maue. -The Compleat Invocation has great material. -Most material by Punx, Charles Cameron, Tony Andruzzi, Eugene Burger, Tony Sheils, Larry Baukin, Black Hart, Mark Edward, Brother Shadow and even Doc Hilford is a good source for theatrical plots and ideas.
