I was recently in this restaurant with the following sign:
So, does it take more skill to balance that third scoop?

A good, hearty belly laugh. Thank you!

It's not quite on the same level, but on the menu at Del Taco, when I was in high school, they used to advertise:
Taco: 49 cents Taco 10-pack: $4.90 And yes, I do know from personal experience that if you ordered nine tacos, they would tell you that you could get 10 for "just $4.90."

Guess they forgot to tell Bill Buckley. "...as we reason and love, we are able to hope. And hope enables us to resist those things that would enslave us." |

I always like the sale on brick cheese at a market:
One Pound - $4.95 - special sale! 8oz package, $2.25 ... then the next week it is reversed half pound brick special $2.85 16 oz - $4.50

Local brewery has beer priced:
5oz -$2 13oz - $4 16oz - $5 The pricing choices were made to make it easier on the person making a cash transaction. Engineers order the 13oz. |

My favorite was the ball park beer that came in two cup sizes, small and large. Large cost a bit more. Science experimentation showed the two cups were differnt shapes, but exactly the same volume.

Chocolate ice cream with caramel threaded through it and peanut butter cup bits mixed in.

I am almost completely wrong, btw. I was thinking of a similar ice cream here in New England based on the Red Sox!
Moose Tracks is VANILLA ice cream with FUDGE threaded through it. Although it DOES still have the peanut butter cup bits. http://moosetracks.com/products/moose-tracks-ice-cream/ It's no Rocky Road, but it's pretty good.

Think I'll pass on that, even with bargain prices, and special deals on the 3rd scoop. Lynn

I will purchase it the smart way. I will buy 3 single scoops instead of a triple scoop. The restaurant will not know they will be loosing 2 extra cones from my order. That will help me save money from buying a single scoop with an additional charge.
Shhh, do not mention to the restaurant of their lost. |

You're going to pay 9.45 so you don't have to pay4.85?
OK.

Lynn, why not become a grammar host? We need you. (Did my grammar pass this time?)
