Hey guys! Surprised I haven't seen a post on this yet. The Halo project is a really cool ring project from Patrick Kun. I picked up a copy while I was at Magic Live. Here's the ad copy!
Quote:
"Finally, a quality version of this tool, with well thought out instructions, and some clever new ideas. I am proud to own one." - Garrett Thomas The gimmick is really well made, but make sure you pay close attention to the sizing when picking your ring. Patrick covers two different versions of a ring through fingers effect, and a linking ring effect. This is a really great product, and with a quote like that from Garrett, you'd be foolish to not pick this up!

I would think the spectator would freak out at that sound if it was THEIR ring borrowed! Nice. Ideals though.

Is this different in implementation from Calen Morelli's Odyssey?

Hi Patrick, this one seems fantastic, I hope I won't be disappointed as I was with Odyssey. Can you do normal ring tricks with the gimmick (with Odyssey or Banded you couldn't) ? Also, is it possible to have one of these custom made ? Although I'm fine with size 8 or 9, the height of rings such as Odyssey, Banded or other PK rings are such that I have difficulty to perform the tricks I'm doing. Usually the height is somewhere near 8mm, which is too high. Ideally, I want to have a ring with 5mm or 6mm maximum. I really hope it's possible. And I wouldn't mind paying more for custom work if it's required.
By the way, I'm guessing it's possible to perform some of the effects you see in Banded and Odyssey, correct ? |

This gimmick allows you to do many visual ring through finger and a solid linking ring routine as you see in the demo. Ring is examined before and after and the switches are all done during the "move" there is not shuttle pass or awkward handling on this at all. Hope this helps answer your question. Feel free to ask me if you have any further questions. Thanks.

Very clever, my fingers are too big for our largest size unfortunately.

Thank you Patrick. Just one more question... Should this be ordered true to size, or one size up for a "looser" fit?
