I don't know the proper name but its where the cards seem to snap out into a fan with very little finger movement.

Do you mean the curly q? If so then Jeff McBride card manipulation vol. 3 has it. Otherwise, it sounds like a special deck. Maybe an electric deck.

You might also mean the one handed circle fan. It ends like a regular two handed fan, but is accomplished with only one. It is on the McBride videos, vol. 2.
