I feel a "Which Hand" would work well.

I'll always remember when Wife and I were doing an Illusion Show for a Large Deaf Group - in the Middle of the Show someone shouted "STOP TALKING - WE CAN'T HEAR YOU", someone else shouted "His assistant isn't deaf and needs the cues" - the Audience all applauded and almost threw the 1st guy out (there was a signing interpreter on the side of the stage). Don't we all have fun ?

I am trying to come up with a good 3D marking system for a Rubik's Cube...since it would be tactile and still color coded, it could be used for any vision impaired participant. I am thinking about using raised crosses, Xs, circles, depressed circles, etcetera. This could open up the myriad Rubik's routines.

Someone should write a book on this subject.
I have a blind daughter and we go to a social club for blind people every week. I'm sure they'd love some entertainment. A local Lion's Club would be great to hit up for potential gigs or volunteer opportunities if anyone ever wanted to specialize in this "branch." Did you know there's a martial arts for blind people called "One Touch?" Awesome.

Infinity Blocks by Paul Carnazzo.
The Atomic Code by Mark Lemon, if they have/can use a smartphone calculator to tell Siri to add specific numbers together. Supercan by Greg Rostami, if you could get the gaff printed on a braille card. I wonder if Alakazam’s new “Print By Magic” service could do this? |

This is a really interesting discussion. I work in academia (education), and I've got into a book project with two colleagues where we will be writing about magic for blind and vision impaired children. Such projects can take a long time to get published due to peer-review etc., but if anyone here is interested, let me know if you want me to post a link to the book chapter here at the magic café when it gets out. I'm 99% sure it will be open access.

Ian Buckland performed the Vanishing Bird Cage for a small group of blind children. What a marvelous idea for bringing blind people into the moment of magic, although they do not "see" the cage disappear, they feel the cage, then it's GONE ! The astonishment is every bit as powerful.
