I finally finished the lecture last night and wanted to give my final thoughts.
I thought the lecture was great and a very good value as well! There were some very good effects taught, but it is Paul’s thinking process that I believe gives it the most value. As someone else already mentioned, he starts off with a very process heavy effect (after stating that he doesn’t particularly like them). However, I believe he was also making a point at the same time. Though the effect is a good one, it is the third effect (Any Word at Any Object) that is the real worker. As Paul mentions, he is showing how you can build upon methods to create larger effects. Each time he presented an effect using this method, it got stronger and moved further away from the process heaviness. By the time you get to AWaAO, you can’t even tell it is using a similar process at all. That is the real beauty of it. Paul goes on to display similar thinking throughout the lecture as he layers method upon method. In all, I will certainly be using a lot of (if not all) this material. He even shares some of his previously released material that sales for more than the cost of this entire lecture. One such effect, that I am already putting into my set is “Choose Me”. He even teaches a very cool variation of the Bold Business (Patrik Kuffs) peek. You literally get the peek in a very unexpected moment. Also, if you have ever wanted to use a peek wallet, he teaches a very motivated way to use it, that doesn’t make it seem fishy, at all. Everything in this lecture can be done, using simply business cards (or scraps of paper) and a pen/pencil. Aside from one effect toward the end, that uses one other item, that many people may already have. This is very powerful stuff that I believe you will use. Thanks Paul for sharing! Now I need to go grab the Penguin lecture and see what goodies he has shared on there. And from my understanding there is zero overlap |

Of course the lecture is a series of effects, so if that is what you like you will most certainly be rewarded. However, I chose the effects carefully in order to demonstrate a number of different principles, thought processes or perspectives. The overall message that I was trying to deliver is that mentalism doesn't have to be high-tech, difficult, expensive to purchase or uncertain in order for it to have impact. Really glad you enjoyed the lecture and appreciated it in a way that I was hoping to achieve when I designed it. Cheers, Paul P.S. I had forgotten that I threw in some additional effects that I didn't mention on the set-list during my over-excited moments!

For $(US)7.95, the cost of a couple of Starbucks coffees, you can get this excellent lecture. As has already been mentioned here, it's not just a collection of tricks but rather a toolbox of methods that you can use in various different ways. I especially loved Paul's three-part/three-word book test, which is Penn and Teller-ish: "I'll bet you thought that I got a peek of the word. OK, I'll now completely look away and flick through the book. Tell me to stop. What? You think that I controlled that because the book was in my hands. Here, you take the book and pick any big word. I'll look away..." Just brilliant--and so much better than the usual one-hit wonder, "Your word is xxxx." The routine will baffle the living daylights out of folks. I'm appropriating it!

Very good value for money. I think my favourite effect was the first one taught using two very old principles in a new way. I can't believe other users haven't picked up on it.

I’m not normally a huge fan of the ATT lecture series, the format just doesn’t quite do it for me the same way that Penguin’s LIVE lectures does.
However keeping that in mind I must say that this is quite possibly one of the best lectures that Ive bought. Every effect thought in this download is strong, easy but most importantly doable. Paul is a genius of simple but hard hitting mentalism, and this lecture demonstrates that. Each trick or effect in this lecture easy to perform and can be performed using "invisible props" (like a pen and some business cards) and can be performed and perfected in absolutely no time at all. Personally since purchasing this 10 days ago I’ve already added “Doing Business” and “Business Trader” to my repertoire and have slayed with them both And I’ve also had great success performing both the “Sheltered Drawing Duplication” and “The Copenhagen Coverup” in social situations But the effects aren’t the only reason to buy this, much like Derren’s penguin lecture this gives you some insight into the mind of Paul Brook and how he works and thinks about methodology which honestly is terrific and worth double the price of the lecture If you perform mentalism and want to add some hard hitting and easy effects into your repertoire do yourself a favour and pick this up, and if you’re only starting to get into mentalism this is a great starting place to much like 13 Steps, the works of Bob Cassidy, Annemann and Osterlind. |

Hmm…
I was reading through these comments And was thinking what Oisin Foley posted [before I read his] I have bought one ATT lecture before [maybe two] – but really did not think much of them compared to Penguin Live, and have stuck to Penguin I actually have PB Penguin Lecture [haven’t watch it yet - except 'locked in thought' section] Has anyone got both [?] are they very different [?] I guess both are good but Penguin one will be better [slightly?] Is there a plan for a PB Penguin Lecture 2 [?] I’m sure I will get this… I’m slowly making my way through lectures |

I have both the ATT lecture and the Penguin Lecture - and they’re completely different but both are just as good as one another, in fact I’d say that I enjoyed this lecture slightly more!
