Hello all! My new Ebook Pulp Fiction will release tomorrow at 10:00 EST. The routine is straight from my show and is a solid 10 minutes of solid mentalism.
As the performer, you tell the spectator you’re going to do a quick experiment to see how he or she thinks. The information you gather from this opening interaction is crucial to know for the next experiment. Now, you instruct the audience member (hereinafter “John”) to think of a beautiful scenic landscape. Tell John to let you know when he is ready. Now, speaking to the entire audience and him, you begin vividly describing the mental landscape John randomly selected. To prove you knew in advance he would select this particular scenery, show him a previously completed drawing depicting the exact landscape John created in his mind. Now, you can progress to the second experiment you referenced at the beginning of your act. Before you begin this phase, hand John a sealed envelope with a prediction in it. You never touch the sealed envelope again. Immediately, inform John you are holding three imaginary objects: keys, wallet, and a pen. State you have the wallet and pen in one hand and the keys in the other. Ask John to select two (2) of the imaginary items from the three (3) you named……one for each of his hands. We’ll say John picks the keys and wallet. Tell him to put one item in his pocket. As an example, we will say the keys. Now, at this stage, John is the holding the wallet in front of him. You have the pen. Offer John the option of changing the pen for the wallet. He makes a free choice. Then, John opens the envelope and reads the prediction, which matches exactly. It says, Morgan, will be holding the pen. John will be holding the wallet. The keys will be hidden in the pocket.” This routine has many subtleties from my dear friend Peter Turner. The price is $20.00 I accept PayPal payments at mikalastrebler@yahoo.com Thanks, Morgan

If the ad copy sounds familiar, it might be because Pulp Fiction draws directly from two previously available releases. Morgan does include a few new subtleties and touches that could potentially make this play stronger for stage/parlor settings. However, as someone that has performed both of the aforementioned pieces, I personally like the more simple and direct approach of the originals. I also can't help but wonder if the small additions really justify an entirely separate release.

"Morgan Strebler-Pulp Fiction" is a true lesson in the power of scripts and how you can create Mentalism just with your words. Learn in here Morgan´s version of the neo classic Peter Turner-Wish You Were Here" and much more using just the power of effective communication. Do predictions without any secret writing of switching techniques. Use this principle for other routines as well.

It's adds a little bit of a safety net to Pete's routine (which personally, I've never felt I needed one), and uses it as a bit of a precursor to another established routine. The touches are alright, but IMO, it doesn't really elevate the effects to merit a separate release. |

Will the effect also work in other languages?
Sorry for my English! My German is a little bit better ;-)

I wish Morgan would release something completely new and really awesome.
He has it in him. The last few releases have been...so disappointing. |
