...do you want to live?
Fun question about a morbid subject. Me? I want to live forever. Please resuscitate, and feel free to hook me up to as many machines as you have to keep me going. Any chance and every last resort please. With all the technological advances and new knowledge about the working of the body, I think I have at least an outside shot.
If you need fear to enforce your beliefs, then your beliefs are worthless.

I want to stay alive so long as I wish to be alive. Should living become unbearable, I hope to have access to a dignified exit.
Today, I feel like living forever.

May you live forever
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

I am going to live forever or due in the attempt.
I simply see no reason to die.

Not forever. And not for a week. But somewhere in between.

Well, I hope to run a marathon when I'm 80 and maybe even 90 so got to be at least that long. My great uncle lived to 111 so I'm hoping to beat his record.

Ah yes, there's the famous 1967 sci-fi short story by Harlan Ellison, "I have no mouth and I must scream", where a master robot has condemned a human to immortality.... a blob of flesh being unable to do anything but think (although without an understanding of time). A human being unable to even harm itself, nor to even scream for it has no mouth. Lynn

I don't see a lot of people that are 80 looking like they're having fun. ' There is a season' and all that you know.

I think about this a lot, but being in my early 30s, I would imagine that being 80 and beyond if/when I get there will be much different than it is currently. Looking at the medical and social advancements in the last 50 or so years, I can only guess what the next 50 or so will bring.

My theory is that "old" is anyone twenty years older than your own age.
Lots of eighty year olds who are productive and having fun. But those eighty-four year olds, they're old.

I want to live long enough that my children wont grow up without me to provide for them. Anything after that is a bonus. Then I will knock at the door of the G.L.A.

The problem with living a long time is outliving the people and the things we love or used to. Things ain’t what they used to be, say the old folks, or is it c'est la vie?

No one is going to want to be around you because of your terrible hygiene and your ugly wrinkled skin. You are going to be in so much pain your mind will be saying "Somebody please kill me. Please do it now." |

Now that is what I would like to see. A just born infant talking with common sense and is well educated. The only part that disappoints me is the infant asking "Who is my mommy this time?"

I'm fairly certain he meant an adult body
Most adult brains would not fit in an infant body. Your mileage may vary.
