I had the absolute pleasure of being at the filming of this Lecture and as someone who consumes magic lectures as if they were Oreos, I can whole heartily say, this is one of the best lectures I have seen! If you are a working magician, some of the information herein is absolutely invaluable! The effects he teaches are beautiful but further more, as a worker, it made me want to be a better performer. Steve puts in an extra 50% with his effects and I know, the people he is performing for must talk about him and his effects for a very very long time! Im now and forever will be a huge Steve Rowe fan and I cannot recommend this lecture enough! I have been waiting a long time to be able to watch it back and I'm so excited it is finally here!
Steve Rowe has literally exploded onto the magic scene in the last 5 years. Not only is his magic practical, it has also been worked and refined to perfection. His unique approach to organic magic is sure to make an impact on your own working set. Every move, every beat, and every word has been thoroughly thought out. Here you will get a real insight into creating props, and structuring your own routines to get the maximum impact possible. There is also a practical crafting section where you will learn some of the techniques Steve uses to create his own props - he even shares his methods for making flap cards - worth the price of the lecture alone. Join us on a fun-packed journey and delve into the mind of one of the most creative thinkers out there. It's going to be totally sweet! Sweet Worker's Set: Steve's working set in the exciting quirky super fun style that you will come to expect with Steve's material. It's completely modular -- perfect for restaurant work! It's an entire set with multiple moments of powerful magic! Special Gift Deck: A utility deck to bring non-organic objects into play in a way that feels natural and justified! Breakaway Sharpie: A gag gimmick that is guaranteed a laugh! Sweet Pen: A roll of candy becomes a working Sharpie marker! Appear8: A surprising effect where an 8 ball is drawn onto a case and is immediately pulled off the box to reveal a real 8 ball in your hand! Super visual and eye popping! LollyPOP: Appear8's little brother! A lollipop image is on a card, removed, and can now be performed with or handed out to a lucky spectator! Lolly Through: An ultra-visual lollipop penetration through a bill or note! Signed Note Transformed and Restored: A signature is visually pulled off a signed note and handed to the spectator! Then Steve puts the face on the note to sleep with nothing more than a wave! The Queen's eyes have closed and can be fully handed out as an impossible object! #46 Amazing Torn and Restored Card Trick: This is a hilarious piece of business... imagine T&R meeting the Bandana trick! And as usual with all of Steve's effects, someone ends up getting a piece of candy! Lolli Hero: An updated version of one of Steve's signature tricks! A superhero character is chosen and a lollipop is shown all around to be completely normal. Without any switches or anything taken away, the magician puts the sweet in their mouth and moments later, the lollipop is in the shape of the chosen hero! If you loved Lolli Hero, you'll love this latest iteration! http://www.murphysmagic.com/product.aspx?id=60072

This looks like a great lecture, but would I be right in thinking that a large amount of it is dealer items, rather than things you can make yourself?

Kieron, in absolute honesty, I don't think I could pick out a single part that I didn't enjoy over the others! His information on gaff making is pretty awesome but all his effects were quirky, offbeat and just a joy to watch!
hornet, on the contrary! He teaches you step by step how to make his dealer items! In depth tuition on making special cards for appear8 and his lollipop version! Teaches a lot of how to make bespoke items for your bookers.. Its just got so much great information! Jamie Daws

Apart from my own effects I think I use more of Steve Rowe's when I perform than anyone else! Love the magic, love the guy!

Thank you so much all for your input I respect each and every one so it's great to hear such accolade.
Hornet, as Jamie says I teach a lot of 'how to' - this is a very different lecture to what else is out there. I show my routine ideas and break them down, show how to make props, making gaff cards, lots of other methods taught as well as some theories and advice on timing, pocket management and more. We also included pdf artwork for various items, so you can literally print them yourself. I am proud of this content, I completely understand where you are coming from but this is so much more than you think. |

Will most of the note tricks be possible with plastic notes as that's what they're being replaced with these days? (Or is that covered in the lecture?)

I watched it last night. The part on card splitting and making flap cards was phenomenal -- lots of little tips that make it worthwhile even for those who are experienced. As for tricks, it's a lot of free-flowing moments of magic that can be placed in or between stuff you already do, which is great.

I also watched it back last night. Theres so many little points and tips I missed the first time. Theres just so much material, without making notes to study, its impossibly to keep track of it all! What I love about Steve is, he has a quote in his lecture notes, "Don't Follow Rules, Don't Follow Others, Find Yourself And You Will Shine" and that's exactly what Steve has done. His style is so unique and refreshing that the memory he leaves is totally impactful. You can even see Marc Lavelle, The host of the Murphy's UK Lectures genuinely uses and enjoys Steves Material as do I and so many working magicians now do! His tips on making flap cards is dynamite too. Once again, you can tell he has been making these a lot! His tips I will definitely be taking with me for the rest of my gimmick making days! I still believe this to be one of the best lectures I have seen and highly highly recommend it!

That workshop on how to make flap cards is great! Can't wait to get some materials and try it out for myself!
Shame that banknotes in the UK are becoming plastic now because the tricks he does with those in this lecture are great as well. |

I had no idea. I'll try and experiment with plastic notes if that's the case.

I agree, this lecture was fantastic. So many tips on creating and being prepared. The flap card section was worth the price alone. As soon as I watched this I ordered The Perfect Score.

I'm really please people are enjoying the lecture - it's always a worry when putting out material especially a lecture.
I tired to make the content work so people would get at least a little something from it. |
