This past summer, I spent some time focussing on developing an absolutely logical rationale for the creation of the number used in it (and also for "why" it needs to be written down) and making that into a miracle unto itself. As many of you know, this is not the first time I have turned my attention towards this area of the effect. I think I can honestly say that I feel that this new solution far exceeds the initial goal I had in mind. Many months have since passed, and I've now had plenty of opportunities to perform this and gauge the overall effectiveness. I feel the impact is delightful.
This isn't made to replace the original handling of Eclipse and I'm certain that there are some who will still prefer the original as this does involve a deck of cards - and no, it is not an ID. But if that doesn't bother you in the slightest, then I think you are in for a real treat since I have essentially combined Eclipse with the "Card at Any Number" plot in a way that really ties everything together very nicely. You will need to already own Eclipse (and also another marketed effect) in order to use this as they are not explained in the pdf. As always, simply PM me if you'd like a copy. |

Eclipse is awesome!
I managed to do it right after I bought it and read the method. It's so easy yet powerful. Your presentation is amazing. I am sure The Grail Edition must be Amazing as well. I'd love to read it. |

In all honesty, this is just something I came up with for myself that plays to my tastes. I'm simply sharing it with others who may be interested in tinkering around with possibilities. It isn't anything groundbreaking, nor is it the "grail". It is just titled that because the other marketed thing I've paired this up with is "The Grail - Gold Edition" from Alakazam Magic. I use the Peter Nardi version that doesn't use any gaffs.
Of course, I'm using the number in Eclipse for this and my "prediction" is written instead of using an odd-backed card as shown here. This makes for a very interesting combination. By itself, "The Grail" is already an absolute knockout effect, but combined with Eclipse, it is even stronger. Performed this way, the effect becomes similar to the "diary" effect or Cassidy's "Chronologue" - but without needing a diary and with a full birthdate revelation. The pdf just covers the little details in how they are routined together along with some small (but important) touches since I obviously don't perform it exactly as seen in the video above. |

Yes, I saw that. If it's any consolation, NOBODY has received it yet - I have been pre-occupied with a development.
You can likely expect it tomorrow or maybe even later tonight - if time permits. |

Just seen this post today and was interested to read how you have combined Mike Rose's Holy Grail with Eclipse. For the past few weeks I have been working on something very similar but I am also incoporating Looch's Nod to Pocketwatch. The biggest issue I am having is with odd numbers above 50. My way round this is a bit clunky so I am curious to know how you have incorporated the two.
Will PM you. |

I think you will be pleased with how I navigated around that issue Mobius. Check your PM's - I just sent it to you.
