Although Clone has his own merit in certain situations, I love using Toosh by Steve Haynes where you can do a routine like where the signed card ends up in a wallet that was always held by the spectator..however, you can only use business cards. Whereas with Clone, you can use playing cards

It's a bit bigger than a playing card to start with, but thicker. You're basically just peeling it down to be thinner, so it doesn't stand out in the deck so much. Once you've done what they show, it's pretty well hidden and isn't even obvious in a fan, if handled right.
I don't see any real difference in the modified gimmick's functioning, it just hides in a deck better.

Looks like an interesting tool for the right trick but has some serious limitations.
If you can only use it 3 or 4 times and you must wait 2-3 weeks between each use, it's really only practical for professionals with well paying gigs in my opinion. It wouldn't even be practical to use while practicing. I'm really glad these limitations were pointed out here and in my opinion, they should be made prominently in the ad copy for the product. I would have been really upset if I hadn't found out about these limitations until after I received a copy. |

It's me or we don't when the spectator signs the card in the video ? This is juste the moment we want to see, the trick is good but I would like "the moment" ....

I agree the 3 card monte video does not really address the signing of the card, where it goes after signing, then the transfer of signature process. Be nice to see that in REAL time to see how long it plays out. The fact that they omit all that suggests that these processes are not that practical or take some time to achieve. I will clarify that's just an assumption but I would love it if someone proves me wrong .

You pretty much know how this works now. It's chemical magic,in the same vein as steam. The special pen the gimmick press
Down onto suitable material. Will create a FAX of the signature. I'd like to know how it would work with complex signatures.Loki cross fax is pretty good too.Even though he's a freind of mine.I'm being impartial. |

When I first watched the performance on 'Fool Us', the unusual colour of the ink used, reminded me of 'Ditto Paper' and 'Banda Machines'

You could just have someone sign with a blank white sheet of paper with a black marker. Then run it through a fax machine and make an exact copy. Tear up the fax copy and reproduce the original. To me it might be just as effective and a lot faster.

So for nearly 200 bucks this gimmick isn't even cut to the right size....?
and the video hides the entire signature part... lmao |

The person above who stated the gimmick has to be cut to size is dead wrong. They come cut to the perfect size to stick onto a card. They are slightly smaller than a card for ease of removal.
What you CAN alter is how thick the gimmick is. He recommends pulling the layers apart if you’re going to use it with a card. It cuts the thickness about in half. |

This is a device that really gets your creative juices flowing and has the potential of bringing good value if you can find the right application for it in your show. The Ellusionist marketing team needs to bring more facts to the table so that people can make a more informed decision. For sure, this is probably not going to work for strolling/table-hopping environments. But in a more formal parlor/stage show this could potentially "kill" and be well-worth the money spent. But based on the little information included in their ad copy I'm reluctant to take a chance on this.
