"Repertoire," a book by Asi Wind.
Projected Release: Spring 2018. https://www.asiwindstore.com/ From the website: This volume presents an extensive collection of Asi Wind's repertoire that stretches over the last two decades. Asi's style of performance has led him to devise magic that seems as fair as it gets as and magic almost happens by itself. These routines that have been kept under wraps for many years are laid out here for the first time in great detail. Asi also revisits several routines he published in the past and brings them up to date with added details and features that he developed over the years while performing them. This elegant leather-bound book, written by Asi Wind and John Lovick includes nearly one hundred original watercolor paintings by Asi, illustrating twenty-one routines. |

This is great news! Will there be any new memdeck material in the book?

Thank you Blindside785. I noticed that. I was wondering if there is new memdeck material. Asi has taught a few workshops on the memorized deck. I was curious if any of that material made it to the book.

Somebody Stop Me - Under test conditions card divination. S.A.C.A.A.N. - Shuffled any card at any number. A Coin Trick - Predicting the locations of two freely selected cards. Double Exposure - A Triumph effect with a borrowed phone (with additional handling and features details). Catch 23 - A Chair Test that doesn’t use chairs, combined with a Bank Night, where the contents of the envelopes are related to the people onstag The Trick That Never Ends - A spectator cuts to any card he names. Selected, Torn, Marked, Stabbed, Crumpled, Burnt, Restored, & Transported Page - A spectator chooses a book from a bunch of books. A chosen page is torn out of the book, it gets burned, and it reappears in the book, burnt edges and all. Make no Mistake - A visual color change that corrects two (intentional) mistakes. Crossing Over - A spectator removes a group of cards from the pack and is asked to think of one of them. That card vanishes and reappears reversed in the middle of the pack. Back Flip - A spectator blindly reverses a card in the deck, and that card happens to be the card he named. Remote Control - Divining two cards that have been removed from different parts of the deck beyond the spectator's back. Folded Under Pressure - A deceptive way to secretly fold a card into fourths. Sloppy Seconds Force - A useful nonchalant force. Not-So-Straight Triumph - Two triumph effects back to back. S.C.A.A.N. - Shuffled card at any number. Lucky 13 - A new treatment to a classic plot that has been attributed to Johann Nepomuk Hofzinser "suit selection." Tango - A sympathetic effect with two decks and a surprise kicker. Really looking forward to this. Everything Asi has released has been gold. Time is money and double exposure are two of my all time favorite effects. They're total workers and incredibly strong. I'm sure this will be full of the same type of material.

I had the pleasure of seeing Asi Wind when he came to Montreal. The magic was powerful and he was really funny. I never did figure out his ACAAN - he asked for a random member of the audience to phone a friend. The friend on the phone named a card and a number. As I recall the deck was left untouched on the stage the whole time. The audience member went up, counted to the position, and voila.

Is "Catch 23" an effect that has been updates for this book or is it the same version that was released in video format a long time ago?
