I was wondering if anyone had "messed" with this idea.
It comes from Stephen Minch's Lovecraftian Ceremonies. In short it is about a small statue that comes to life. Stephens routine is very good as is! I was wondering if anyone took it any farther? I believe in the right hands it would stun people! It's also perfect when you have people over and you are looking for that "ONE" effect! Magickman

A beautiful effect that comes to mind is in Christian Chelman’s “Capricornian Tales”.
There, a stone scarab comes to life, transformed into a real one. Really beautiful!!! |

There is a nice idea in the invocations about making a clay monster that actually walks on it own, it is pretty wicked evil, more for stage then close up, but it does kill, I have been playing around with it for the last few days.

For something along that line, you might want to check out my Bizarre Bazaar column in the e-zine Visions (www.online-visions.com) for the routines "Creation" (a comedy version) and "The Golem" (a bizarre version).

Peter -- Thanks for the references to Online Visions. It looks like only the current issue is available online. Is that correct? I'm not opposed to buying the back issues from Lybrary, but want to make sure I'm not just missing something about the site.
