1. The Doors of Deception by Paul Vigil (unlikely to win b/c of high price, low supply - but one of the best buys I've made in a long while)
2. Temporarily Out of Order by Patrick Redford 3. Scripting Magic 2 by Pete McCabe Honorable Mention to Memorandum by Woody Aragon. 2017 was a surprisingly good year for books on magic. Let's hope 2018 is even better! |

(Current results as of Feb.15- Please Note: This is a "copy and pasted" list. Meaning: I just went through and copy and pasted everyone's votes into this list and still have to go back through it a couple of times to make sure voters have at least 50 posts [and there’s still time to get there, folks], that no one voted twice, eliminate ones that aren't from 2017, random mistakes, etc.) The Tarbell - voting closes in 2 weeks 1 |A New Angle - Feldman and Plunkett 1 |Anthony Owens Secrets 2 |Aretalogy of Vanni Bossi, Stephen Minch 1 |Artful Deceptions by Allan Kronzek 3 |Bammo Gaffus Maximus 1 |Book of Deceptions - Paul Vigil 3 |Card Devilry- J.K. Got to say that
Doors of Deception is my vote for best of the year. Literally, it is personal instruction from Paul himself. If you have seen him perform than you already know of his immense talent. |
