So far, top 4 are:

Luxor
Vegas Sign
Eiffel Tower
Stratosphere

Seems pretty solid.

When I read the subject line my mind immediately saw The Luxor.

I thought, "Casinos" then thought you'd want something specific and thought, "The one with the fountain" but couldn't think of the name, then remembered Luxor.

I'm not big on Vegas so that is nearly the extent of my knowledge right there.

I thought of the Luxor Pyramid.

I thought of that big neon cowboy at the Pioneer. Is it still there?

If there's one thing this thread has shown, it's not to ask a spec to think of a Vegas landmark.

I dunno. Seems like you'd get at least a 30% chance of Luxor, and another solid chance of the Vegas sign itself. I like those odds.

This thread so far has 43% luxor and 31% Vegas sign. That's pretty good. Also - for me, this is for an enhancer. The participant will have an apparent free choice of around 30 cities.

I find this very interesting as perhaps it is a skewed perception from those in the magic community. A couple of years ago there was a story about most popular and recognized Vegas landmarks and tourist attractions, and one of the things I remember is the casino that most people couldn't remember the name of (and would ask concierge's, officers, tourism guides, etc. ) was the Luxor.

I looked quickly online and wasn't able to find it. I think it was done by a travel channel or magazine or visitors bureau or something.

People do remember the Pyramid though, and that's good enough for me, the name isn't that important because this is for a remote viewing routine. Since it's out of around 30 popular cities, I think I can even steer them towards an "Unusual building (pause) or some kind of landmark" and get a pretty high hit rate. I'll try it this weekend and report back.

Not being American, I think the answers might be a bit different.

Whilst I have seen photos of the Pyramid and fountains, because of TV the first thing that sprung to mind was the Gold and Silver pawnshop featured in Pawn Stars.

My second thought was the MGM theatre where David Copperfield appears.

Okay I tried this tonight. She went for the Eiffel tower. It was a remote viewing type theme, with a 'strange dream' that I had written down as a kicker. I generally don't even do predictions, but I decided to give it a try to change up my act a little. The dream (prediction) was that we were in Las Vegas and at a strange, pyramid shaped building. She actually considered it as a hit for the Eiffel Tower, since it's vaguely pyramid shaped, which made my think that next time, I will use 'A building that is somehow also a tall triangle' which should cover both.
