I finalized and paid for my order from Xavier Belmont in early May 2017. The quote provided by Mr. Belmont showed delivery was expected late June or early July 2017. As of today, I have not received my order. I ordered three different products including an Ambivalence set, a expanded shell, and a dollar size CSB.
The last I heard from him was the beginning of November when he indicated it would be done soon. Approximately two weeks ago, I emailed him asking for a status update; I received no response. A week elapsed and I sent another email asking him to either provide a concrete date for completion or for him to refund my payment; I received no response. Does anyone here have a means for contacting Mr. Belmont? The notion that someone operating their own website doesn’t check email for two weeks is a bit unbelievable. My order was not insignificant. Based on his failure to deliver now six months after his established delivery date, and without any response from him for near two months, I am feeling scammed. Any assistance is greatly appreciated. |

I'd first check with either the credit card company or Paypal. You're way out timewise for Paypal, but you still might be able to file a complaint.

Thank you for the thought. Unfortunately the PayPal was “friends and family” so I am at the mercy of Mr. Belmont to do the honorable thing. I am aware I have the option of filing a police report in his and my jurisdictions. I hope it donesn’t have to get to that point. I want to believe his procrastination got the best of him, but ignoring the problem will only make it worse.

Just wanted to provide an update. This morning I received a reply from Xavier indicating he could complete the order within a week if I was agreeable. I offered him again the choice of delivery or refund. We will see how this turns out. I am hoping for a positive outcome.

Did you get the package from him yet?

Nope. I sent another email on Monday (giving him more than a week), but have not received any reply. This is about to go downhill fast.

Amazing enough, I just got an email from Xavier. He indicated the order would be completed this week. I replied with feeling like I was being strung along; one month turned into five and one week is turning into two. I proposed if the order was not complete by Sunday then he would issue a refund. Setting it at Sunday gives him a full two weeks to completion when he asked for one week to complete them. It is as fair of a solution I could come up with and accommodate both of our interests. I really hope this turns out good.

I hope that, if you end up receiving goods from Mr. Belmont, that they are up to his advertised standards of quality and do not appear hastily made.
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

An update- Xavier sent me a photo of the coins as they are. They still need patina added but they do look very promising. To Xavier’s credit he offered to send them in a JOL case. I thanked him for the overture but told him it wasn’t necessary to do anything more than our initial agreement. I will update again once received or if anything changes. The situation looks promising from this point forward.

Hi everybody,
It's my first visit since a long long time on Magic Café, you will understand why bellow. As I visit link send by Danwseers I discover this "old" topic. Quote:

In fact at this moment I was "at the bottom of the hole" (french idiom) but rest of 2017 was a long and hard road to recovery. I do not take new orders in this moment, I must finish some (really some) other orders in late. In classic time, if I do not respond to your Email in the next 3 days, you can send an another Email. Either I have not receive it (spam or other) either I have not internet. In other way it's not normal. Relationship with my customers is always (from al time) my way of crafts (before take orders), I present my apologies for this two last years troubles. Be sure than I make all than I can to close this bad period. Magically your, Xavier Belmont.

Thank you for making things right. |

Absolutly true...
One of the big problem betwenn coins craftsmen is that some customers think to have "THE true"... And in this way, sometime, some customers lose their objectivity ... As I say since the beginning of my coins work, in my opinion there are no best craftsman in the world. Each craftsmen use personal technics and each way to craft is adapted to a style of customer. Shell craft is best example, some carftsmen reduce coin diameter to do régular shell, some craftsmen use one coin to do expanded shell and some others use two coins to do one expanded shell. Each technics can give perfect work or bad work... But choose one carftsman (with is own technic) is a personal choice, not an election for "best craftsman in the world award". I like the right congratulations and the right blames on my work but I do not like comparisons with other craftsmen, it only creates a bad atmosphere for nothing.
