A hearty congratulations to Greg Moreland and his entire crew for putting on an outstanding event. The venue was outstanding with clean comfortable rooms and great amenities. The vendor room offered easy access to great bargains by knowledgeable vendors. The performance area made viewing the each lecture presentation easy to see and hear in addition to being comfortable.
David Stone, Richard Osterlind, and Rocco demonstrated mastery of their individual fields of Magic with lectures and performances that kept the attendees and public in a constant state of amazement. Each lecture was presented in a clear concise formant that allowed me to really consider what new effects would benefit my own performance and make the most of my purchasing dollar. David, Richard and Rocco showed much patience, as well as being personable in answering questions and presenting their wares. They were a delight to become acquainted with. Trey Paterson of St. George won the the amateur contest with a well received performance. The amateur field gave a good showing of potential future stars of magic. To all the participants, keep up the good work . In the final analysis, I found the 2nd year of the SLC Magic Jam truly worth the costs and travel to attend. I came away with a small treasure trove of notes and props that will continue to improve my performances, increase my knowledge and inspire me to continue to strive to improve my magic performance skills. Thank you Greg, David, Richard, Rocco and all the participants who made this a great event. Looking forward to this becoming an annual event on my calendar. Mulee Pete

Howdy Reuben and welcome to Utah.
Unfortunately the SLC Magic Jam did not do well financially either year, forcing Greg to let the SLC venue go to concentrate on the Portland Jam in Oregon. If anyone has the ability to continue the SLC Jam I wold support it, but I alone do not have the knowledge, experience or finances to run such an endeavor. If you find yourself in St. George and would like to visit give me a ring at 435-225-6322. Pete

That's too bad that the SLC Magic Jam won't be continuing. I live in Portland and support the one here but am from Utah and was glad to see that Greg was also hosting one there. If you've not been to Portland before, this would be a great excuse to come visit. It's a fun city and all of the Magic Jams I've been too have been well worth it.

Am seriously considering it, the only thing holding me back is the need to fly. I hate the whole evolution involved in dealing with any airline. If the trains were a viable option I would use them in a heartbeat. There is time to figure it out. Maybe we will meet Ekins.
