I just ordered a big set of boxes from Kueppers. I have Roth's UCM and of course Bobo's Modern Coin Magic.
What are some other sources for coin boxes of which you guys know? Any help is appreciated.

Rob,
Does UCM have all of the material from ECMME vol. 11? I'm thinking about buying it to replace my VHS tapes of ECMME. Other than those two sources (Roth & Bobo), I can't think of any other material...Well, actually, now that I think about it, Michael Rubinstein has a very nice routine on Knock Out Coin Magic vol.1—Okito Klinker I believe it's called. Mike,
It looks like it has most of the same stuff as UCM. Out with 4 and Out with 5, and some of the other stuff.

Ouch! Too bad you already placed your order, because Roy also makes & sells Bob Farmer's "Mojo Boogie Boxes", which is three boxes, three lids and an AWESOME routine. At only $30, it's a much cheaper way to get boxes, PLUS it comes with the routine and a drawstring bag. Maybe you should contact Roy to see if you can change your order? He can help you compare what you've ordered with the Mojo Boogie Boxes set.
Good luck!

The Kort Book has some very clever box routines...including an okito box routine with no box what so ever!

Try this link for big list of resources on coin boxes.
What material did you go with for your boxes? I have been thinking about getting some aluminum boxes from Mr. Kueppers. I don't have any experience with coin boxes, but his write up on his aluminum boxes convinced me to give them a try. |

I actually wanted to try something different, so I went with the aluminum. They are lighter (but as Roy said when I talked with him, he mentioned that he made these for walk around magic to save some weight in the pockets and such). Some people like the heavier feel of brass, but I like the look of aluminum, and I will let you know how I like the feel.
I was thinking about the mojo boogie boxes, but wasn't sure what they consisted of. I didn't pay much more anyway, and got an extra box out the deal.

Astinus, forgive me if I'm mistaken, but I do believe David Neighbors has some killer routines in a book he publishes. PM him for more info.
Hope this helps a bit. Doug |
