Funsway you are correct but it helps in seeing whats gone before when trying to come up with something as the saying goes we're all standing on the shoulders of giants meaning that most if not all creators are inspired by the work of others my friend. The other thing I have to consider is the environments that I perform in the most, these are usually noisy and so when it comes to scripting whilst it has to be entertaining it also has to be quite basic. |

This is what I do now. It puts the gimmick in and back out of play nicely. By "better if it was an instant" -- do you mean instant download? If my memory serves correct everything is self contained at the beginning of the routine although the way he removes the coins at the beginning maybe a bit tricky ( pun intended ) however when he finishes the routine the gaff goes to the pocket so your not reset at the conclusion. |

As you can see from the above link that Matthew kindly provided as good as Doc is that particular routine is challenge magic which I prefer to stay away from if possible even though a great many others have copied his routine.

Appreciated either way. I agree I wasn't that enthused - a lot of challenging, and unmotivated pocket trips (in my mind). |

I have been inspired here to create some new routines based on the CSB, but expanding beyond the traditional to include
3FY and Gadabout approaching, Many things possible that do not look like CSB, e.g. different combination in the hands like Silver & Brass and coins showing up in unexpected places - seemingly with a mind of their own. What is missing is a level of interest to justify the time to document, photography, etc. How many are really looking for new routines? How many would wish to add onto an old routine vs how many want something completely different?

The 'Coin Man Walking' DVD from Dan Watkins has an excellent handling of CSB where it happens right in the hands of the spectator. CSB Assault is the name of the routine. Check it out!
Yes Warren, you are right, with the CSB gimmick being an unbelievably deceptive gimmick, going back and forth to the pocket is just wimpy and retarded. It ruins any credibility you might have. no matter what the specators say so check out the above routine. it is bold and very effective. |

Yes Warren. You probably will not find this your one final routine (Watkins routine). but maybe if you combine parts of this with Hein's routine. you might hit gold.
To me another danger with this (besides using the pocket) is OVERUSING THE gimmick. you can overdo anything good. Let us know what you find. I don't have this set now. but if you tell me about your routine I might just run and get it again. |

Use your own story centered on the two coins do not like to be with the silver coin.
When he tries to join them, the jump to the other hand! You can use your imagination for WHY for this for examples: The cheaper metals are jealous of the Silver coin... For a 2copper 1silver you can just be the two coppers stay together... Enjoy, Steph

There are a lot of stories that can be based around foreign trade --
either USA, Mexica, China - or England in the mix

I use a custom made two copper one silver set that is literally my pride and joy! I’ve also recently added quiver which makes the clean up easy and the coins are examinable before and after.
