Well to be fair to Daniel he hasn't exactly been churning things out since when? 2005.
I was looking forward to his 'card to wallet' but maybe he pulled it due to it being to close to another version.

$60 is a little out my price range for a card to mint tin. However, I can't wait to see reviews from people when they get/use this!

Now, we know what this is about:
http://www.penguinmagic.com/p/9451 The most highly anticipated magic trick of the year is here! A device that creates MIRACLES, built into a mini tin of Altoid mints. You will NEVER leave home without Mint Box by Danny Garcia. Danny Garcia invented some of the best magic of the early 2000s... and then he mysteriously vanished from the industry. What you may NOT know, is that he NEVER stopped creating magic and has only gotten better. In fact, he's been creating a lot of the magic you've seen on TV for the top magicians on the planet. He hasn't released a single thing in YEARS. Until today. Mint Box is a card-to-box like nothing you've seen before. You can perform it secretly to cause a signed card to appear in your pocket, but where it takes things to A WHOLE OTHER LEVEL is that you can even use it to visually vanish or transform objects. All built into a mini Altoids mint tin, this is the most portable and best card-to-box we've ever seen. |

Cool, but Altoid brand does not exist in my country, so this "metal box" will look suspicious for spectators of my country!

Any idea what skill level is required?
Is a mercury card fold required? Thanks! |

I'm looking forward to this. I think it looks great. |

Ordered this...just looks too good. Plus everything I've ever bought by Danial Garcia has been tops. The guy's brilliant. |

The performance video on Theory’s website is horrible too. The card falls, he swings the box away out of the camera. I was like “what just happened?” You could have walked an elephant in and I wouldn’t have noticed. I feel like this effect has been done ad nauseum am I missing what’s so special about it? Regal’s Clarity Box blows people away.

I don't see any difference in this and "Tin Opener" except for the routine.
Is there any difference? Besides the obvious, a different box.

Just watched a bit of the streaming video. Very, very clever.
Can't wait for mine to ship. Do not have (or know the method of) Tin Opener, so can't speak on similarities. |

I have a lot of respect for Daniel Garcia, and I have only seen the trailer, but as Videoman stated, Jonathan Kamm's Toibox is a ROUTINE. To my mind Kamm's effect has logic, is well thought out with the sleights occurring on the off-beat. The routine flows, and I like the idea of the signed card being revealed in the box first, "proving" to the spectators that you can do it, ie no force required. Although the second card is not signed, they have no reason to doubt that you have achieved a similar transposition once again.
In addition, Kamm's effect offers various alternative handlings. |
