Iam studying this wonderful in its simplicity effect, from the Michael Skinner professional close up magic dvd vol 1. I also habe the penguin Lecture with David Ben in which he tips his methods. Iam searching a way to end clean. Any suggestions? A question for those who performing the trick in the real world, If you are not clean at the end does the audience notice? I really like Skinner’s handling but Iam worrying for the ending. I think it is really strong to show both hands empty. I don't really like the m....h solution from the Art of Magic book. Maybe Iam thinking as a magician?

I believe John Bannon has a handling that takes care of your problem. If I'm not mistaken, it's in "Smoke and Mirrors" and is called "The Shriek of the Mutilated." I lost that book and several other magic books in a move about six years ago.

Juliano, if you can't find the book, the same method is on the DVD of the same name.

This looks like Martin Lewis' Undivided which can be found on his At the Table Live Lecture

How to end clean? use your pockets...why does everyone try to make everything difficult or require some crazy move? Simplicity always wins.

Juliano,
In the David Ben lecture he ends clean. It's a fantastic method. Are you looking for something else? |

I know but I was searching for another solution. I also read this idea in the Art of magic book (T.N.Downs) and I try it two times, the first time worked fine, the other one I caught. Maybe Iam not doing it fluently yet. Still no one replied about this : if you end dirty does the audience want to see the hands? or they are convinced with the movement of the “empty hands” when you are doing the routine?

There should be ample time to clean your hand during those moments. If they are burning your hands instead of looking at the paper, you may want to look at your presentation. Is there something in it that is causing their attention to look for the how instead of experiencing the wow? |

Yes Iam working now on these Wravyn, you are right. But I was searching all the possoble solutions. I love the effect, is so pure, and you can polish it to be a miracle.

These came to mind:
Impromptu paper ball over the head as they're focused on the restoration. Drop to floor. Flash paper a la Bannon. Don't think too hard about it. |
