I was wondering if the instructions for the stack were in his book Try the Impossible, and if not which book(s) are the instructions in?
Thanks. Paul |

If you are just starting, I would recommend Bound to Please. It contains the stack and how to learn it, as well as some great routines for it.
You should also check out Memories are Made of This, which is a free book on his website. All of the books are fantastic, but these are really the books to go with (and one of them is free!). Hope this helps. |

Aronson book dedicate this A Stack To Remember. I saw one on Paul Diamonds email list just the other day for like $5.00.

A Stack to Remember is part of the Bound to Please book, but 5.00 is hard to beat!

To answer the original question, the stack is listed in Try the Impossible but the techniques for learning it are in Bound to Please

Buy Bound to Please. Decide if you are going to use the stuff first before buying Try the Impossible. It makes no sense to buy both at once unless you are sure you like Aronson's material.

If you do master his stack, you HAVE to get Workers 5 by Mike Close. It has some great routines with memorized decks, especially Aronson's, which Close himself uses.

I recently picked up the stack itself from Simon's website. Since I've studied books on memory systems in the past, I adopted my own learning techniques rather than the mnemonics systems I assume Simon uses in his books. Seeing as after a couple of week's work I'm well on the way to having 'mastered' (I mean that pretty loosely!) the stack, is it worth still starting at Bound to Please if I'm looking to buy one of Simon's books, or is this mainly focused on teaching memorization of the stack?
My appetite was first whet by some of the routines Mike Close does with a memorized deck - I reckon that this is definitely time well spent! Thanks in advance for any comments/suggestions. Riberts |

I just got bound to please and there are tricks in it not dealing with the stack, but also he explains the built in features of his stack, which could be of interest to you. As for myself, I to am on my way to mastering the stack.

Bound to please has killer memorized deck effects and his classic and genius Shufflebored. Of course it is still worth getting.

Simpy Simon I feel has his best effects. All of his books are great but this one is my favorite, although it does not teach you the stack. Get Bound to Please for that.

I would agree with Peter. Of all his books I would prefer Simply Simon, some killer effects. Bound to Please to learn the stack and all the books then include effects utilisng the stack.

If these are in there, it sounds like Bound to Please is a good addition to the bookshelf even if I can work with the stack already. |

I'd go for Simply Simon as well, Mr. Aronson's work is not just incredibly clever but really entertaining as well.
