Another delightful routine in which every nuance is the product of knowledgeable, thoughtful consideration.
Thank you, Sudo. |

So I finally got through the second issue and this is not an effect that is being shared; this is a treatise on building a routine that comes complete with pyschology, presentation, justifications, choices, and overall structuring of a routine.
The chess pieces have a major significance when it comes to the mind and potential. Sudo shares each phase complete with the reasons behind his choices. This alone allows the reader to question those choices and either agree or disagree. I happen to agree on many points which shows how much work was put into this routine. The first phase is straight forward but the other two phases introduced principles that are rather new to me. Their use is completely motivated. Like in my comments on the first issue, Sudo walks the reader on a journey to explore these concepts and slowly improve on them. Knowing the original approach and the nuances and/or changes by Sudo makes for a compelling read. In a nutshell, we have here a 3-phase routine that explores the concept of fate, control, and personality reading. The presentation is compelling. I will be playing with this for sure. Thank you very much Sudo |

Finally got chance to look through this tonight. Once again lovely presentation. The content is brilliant, some really nice, and generous, ideas. Looking forward to number 3. Great work Sudo👍

I finally had time to read instalment #2. I’m very impressed by the quality of the effect and the excellent writing.
Thanks Sudo.

Nice effect, very well constructed and interesting premises. Thank you.
For those having some trouble understanding how the En Passant Procedure works, try this: First, make as many moves as the position of the “target” piece. See what happens? Then make as many moves as you want (say two). So it’s very simple to understand why the “target” piece is in the middle, right? Performing the actions in the order above would make the principle obvious to anyone, therefore inverting the order kind of hide it. |

I can't thank Sudo enough for this amazingly rich routine.
I know putting this together must've been a lot of work and I'm very appreciative that you've chosen to share your creativity. I love routines where you open a bag and start pulling items from it and setting them before people - it just builds an expectation of something special about to happen and that's what I felt while reading through this treatise. Plus, there's the intrinsic symbolism of the Chess pieces themselves. So good. Very well done. Oscar |

I like the structure of this effect and the story around chess, even if I'll probably never perform the routine.
The reason is rather my persona than the routine in itself. Thanks again Sudo. |

Sudo is ill at the moment and is fighting hard to recover. I think our good will and positive thoughts for his recovery would go a long way in helping.
No matter how many times you say the wrong thing, it will NEVER be right.

Get well first Sudo. All in good time and make sure you pace yourself.
I was holding off reading the second instalment because I don't play chess. But it was a pleasure and fun to read as the writing is so clean and understandable and is flavoured with nuances and thoughts that you usually do not find in most magic manuscripts. And as always, if you put your mind to it you can find ways to use the principles and material for other effects. And this issue had a great usable spin off which has nothing to do with chess specifically and is a terrific bonus for non chess heads. I can certainly appreciate the cleverness of this routine as a non chess player and also covet the extra bit which could have been a separate manuscript. |

Very nice work, full of interesting details about construction and audience management, including a pearl: the En passant procedure (a surprising and highly counter-intuitive mathematical principle for the final revelation).
Thanks, Sudo, once again.
So much to do, so little time . . .

I appreciate all the thoughts and well wishes - thank-you.
I'm finally past the worst stages of that illness but have had a bunch of exciting prospects all suddenly fall into my lap at the same time - which I am very thankful for. But in the meantime, for those of you still waiting on any of the previous issues or #3 (which is basically ready), I promise I'll get it all taken care of very shortly. I apologize because I've said that a few times recently - I'm just a little overloaded and trying to play catch-up. Hugs. |

Sudo gently sent me #3 of Skeletons From the Closet when it was released but I am looking for the #2 and #1 issues. Would be fine to get them by anybody who has them instead of directly from Sudo? If so I'd also send #3 if anybody needs it.

NO. NO. NO.
I have been clear about the conditions under which these are offered; both in my threads and in the pdf's themselves. |
