Hi!

Carl Andrews has a nice routine that uses two authentic-ish Chinese coins (complete with hole in the middle), similar to the size of half-dollars, that he uses to switch places with half-dollars.... in the spectators hand.
Trying to locate this type of coin (x2).
(The hole isn't essential, but I definitely would like Chinese art/wording on the coins.)

Anyone know of a source for such a coin?

Thank you in advance!

I found real, old, half dollar size chinese coins in Singapore, so they exist. They are greenish, from oxidation. Try e bay.

Tom Ladshaw has great authentic Chinese Coins (and makes them with a shell & flipper as well).

I just purchased a set of the half dollar sized From Tom Ladshaw with a [ and a fli**per. These are very well made, have a great price ... plus I ordered them on Thursday and they showed up in my mailbox on Monday morning! Highly recommended. Oh, yea, ... the coins fit nicely in an expanded half dollar [.

I would recommend these to anyone.

Hard to beat the bang for the buck on those Chinese Luohanqian sets (they're inexpensive, but not "cheap"), but I don't think Tom Ladshaw makes them.

Tom ladshaw is unique.he's an unselfish guy who treats customers with respect, unlike some other dealers.any problems,he solves them.no false advertising or one-angle demo videos...
God's grace rocks! It makes a good cups and balls routine look pretty boring in comparison.

There is a version of this coin with a dragon instead of the squiggle writing. I wish I could find a consisent source of that.

Those coins are made in China. There are authentic chinese coins that are half dollar size. I mentioned it earlier but no one seemed interested. Real coins look real, fake ones look fake.

I actually thought they were fake coins, so these coins shown in the link are genuine Chinese coins is that correct Michael or am I getting mixed up ?

Those are a popular fake coin made in China. They are nicely made, as are all of the gaff maker's coins. But in my opinion, nothing like the real deal.

I really like them personally but I would love to get some matching coins without the hole in the middle.

As a Chinese, I can tell everyone all the authentic old chinese is very thin, like palming coin, because that how they make, so is hard to matching the half dollar. the Chinese Luohanqian Coin is close fake coin and the letter on the coin is real Chinese and also have real meaning(Kangxi Tongbao,Years of mintage 1661–1722) , some Magic Chinese coin if Asia people see will Smile e.g. Joker magic coin the Chinese word meaning the"Practice make perfect", Tango Chinese coin have no meaning and the word is print mirror wrong too, Todd Lassen coin one side is "magic coin in hand" other side is "Magical", Sterling magic Chinese coin is "magic" and "magic fun".......
