Looks pretty good. I purchased another of David's effect years ago. He's a good teacher. Pleasant personality, too.

I was also surprised that Penn and Teller were fooled. This reminds me of "Election" by Eric Ross. Different procedure, but the way the cards end up the same the method is the same.

For you the blind who once could see
The bell tolls for thee

So just relax and take it as a TV programme for magicians to present their act on wider group of audience afterall. David Parr's routine is excellent by the way and made me start looking for his material besides this particular routine.
Most memorable moment - with Maestro Juan Tamariz & Consuelo Lorgia in FISM Busan 2018.

I just purchased this and really like it. The method wasn't a surprise (I've seen similar things in work by David Regal) but the explanations are great and I really like the effect. While I like David Parr's presentation (love the bell idea and his thought-process leading to this), I prefer not to use others' presentation exactly. I'm currently working on a version of this trick using the idea of "teaching" a participant how to do a magic trick... just follow what I do. Nice and easy to perform, so the focus can be on an engaging presentation.

Well, here I choose to simply clap my hands 3 times frenetiquely. Doesn't require any props, but you need to ensure your spectator has his 2 hands

I think a lot of the beauty of this wonderful routine is the lack of patter. In fact, I don't even use an opening line at all -- the entire routine is silent except the bell. This keeps everyone paying close attention and wondering what's going on. It also means you can perform for spectators or audiences regardless of language or hearing ability.

Got it and like it.
I am thinking to make it work in a spooky environment with Tarot deck of cards and Pk touch to ring the bell... scary. |
