Another download from R. Paul Wilson. No description yet, but the video shows a live performance.

'Punch Too' is also on the DVD called 'Hit the Road' by Paul Wilson and Lee Asher
'Punch Too' and another of Paul Wilson's re-releases 'Thief of Hearts' may also be found in a 32-page booklet called "13" Some great material may be found in both. |

Is it difficult?
Can’t be too hard if a mentalist can do it I suppose lol |

Only two sleights used and a lot of 'acting'

Great card effect provided that the audience doesn't spill the beans prematurely. My gut feeling is that with any decent sized audience it won't happen but with only a few persons they might speak up and spoil the ending. Regardless, you cannot go wrong with this download. The effect is well-structured, relatively easy-to-do, and fooling. Btw- it is R. Paul Wilson's birthday today so "Happy Birthday Paul!"

I was already using the few utility moves involved, but still, I love it. Very simple, I love this kind of effect where we pretend to fail. This kind of trick is also my favourite when dealing with some kind of spectator (the one who always tries to ruin your trick because he want to be smarter and because "magic doesn't exist" anyway).
The explanation video is crystal clear and goes straight to the point (approx. 12 minutes long), no bla bla bla. |

Nice trick really, but there's one sleight that, for me, is pretty difficult to perform smoothly, after the spectators choose the 3 cards to put between the 4 cards.
Anybody know of an alternative move that could achieve the similar result? |

Always loved this effect and never heard many mention it. One of my favourites from the great Hit the Road dvd with Lee Asher, its also in Mr Wilsons 13 pdf from yesteryear.

I’m so glad I rewatched the entire dvd mentioned above. Very good effect as are others on the Hit the Road disc. Recommend this effect as a download also.

With the packet in hand tho, you can play around and end up where you need to be other ways.. I would recommend the way it is though. Actually that’s a good move used in many effects and once you play with it with a packet of cards, you will find it becomes not a move at all. |

THe email says
"I watched them watch me fail." -R. Paul Wilson http://penguinmagic.com/p/9871 I'm so sorry.. I want to tell you about this trick so bad, but I can't without spoiling the experience for you. Watch the uncut performance and I promise it's worth it. It's such a unique experience, you deserve to experience it. Watch the full performance here: http://penguinmagic.com/p/9871 Why is he talking about failing? |

Thank you that makes much more sense

Based on the premise, I have come up with my own variation on this idea and I find that using a Jinx switch is working well for me. Probably better for only 1or 2 spectators but I wouldn’t generally have the opportunity to perform this effect for more than that
