I recently bought an "invisible TT". Basically it is a TT with a pull. Have any of you used this ? What are your experiences with this TT ?

Aren't TT's supposed to be worn and conceal things??
What do they mean by 'invisible'? Clear instead of opaque? And with a pull?? Seems like you would now have to hide the pull. OK! I give up! |

Pin it inside your Jacket. Really this is just a way to get more money out of you and this item will probably end up in your junk drawer.
As a collector of TT's it would be cool to add to my collection but not for the price they want (I could make one easy enough but I won't waste my time). There are dozens of methods to dispose of the TT if you want or need to. Best to learn how to use one effectively rather than the bother of learning to use a TT pull. If you want to use a pull, then use a pull. But each to their own. Enjoy. Iven

El Toro,
You might want to try hooking it on a reel and position it near your back pocket. Its funny how this fools new magicians who know about the TT. Only a few IMO knows about the pull. Enjoy, Rannie

A TT with a pull...what are they going to think of next.
What a really dumb thing. If you learn how to use a TT right,no one ever knows whats going on or sees a thing. A pull is just going to make you have to hide something else. This idea is stupid.... Get one of Gary Darwins books on the TT.He did about 3 and all are great. Don |

If it's 'invisible', how do you know that you've bought it?
<G> Seriously, I don't see the point of it. I have to agree with the posts by Don Driver and Irossall, above. |

While I agree the invisible TT is not my chosen prop, let's don't discount that some people may be able to use this prop very effectively. It would be interesting to experiment with to see if any new ideas could arise. Some apparatus I thought was stupid is very effective in the hands of someone willing to spend the time to develop it.

I think it is a great idea becasue I mean if your doing something as impossible as what you will be doing with a TT people are going to be looking. If you are within 2 or 3 feet its very hard for someone not to see it. I think it is a good way to get out of the effect very cleanly. But I will not be buying one for the sheer fact that you really don't need it!
you can fool all of the people some of the time and some of the people all the time but never all of the people all the time.

My tt is invisible. No one sees it and I ditch it without issues. I think that that gimmic tt is just that a gimmic. Sell it.
Thanks for the opportunity |

I agree with Peter, I just don't see the point. Used properly a TT will not be perceived by anyone not in the know and sometimes by those who do. We really have to get over the concept of a TT not being seen to be used. In fact a TT is virtually ALWAYS seen by spectators....it is just NOT perceived by them as being there. A superb analogy is that a TT works like good camo does in the military. The fact is that you do SEE the camo you just don't perceive that it is 'unnatural' if you will. Same with the TT.
Here is a story that still freaks me out: Years ago now when running Stan Allen's magic shop in Los Alamitos a guy walked in the store. He was retired, rich and had taken private lessons from folks like Slydini, etc. Great guy and he had some chops brethren! This was just at the time that Vernet started putting out their now famous TT, but they had not made their way to the West Coast yet. Here is what he did....He held a small silk hanky at his finger tips. He had me grab his wrists and hold on. Like I'm right on top of this guy staring at his hands from maybe 8 inches away. He proceeds to vanish the silk in the classic mode. I am freaking out! The reproduces the silk and I let go. I have never forgotten this. He didn't tip and I didn't expect him to. But, about a year later I put it all together. I SAW the TT, but I just was not expecting anything to BE on his Thumb, thus I just did not see the thing! Great lesson in magic. All best,
Brad Burt

I am going to compound the folly of the two identical posts above by telling you that I don't have clue as to how I did that! I have new keyboard and it does that oddest things. Really. Best,

My wife just laughs at people now because she knows it's on but people are really that clueless. I'm waving my thumb in front of their face, and she's just rolling her eyes at me...ahh. Even for the laymen that know about it, they still don't see it coming.
