Jim Lewis had a version on video and print. Video never made it to DVD, which is too bad as it was very good. Not sure if the print version can be found.

I posted some Perverse Magic Coins through the table of the Perverse Magic thread of the Genii Forum on April 2, 2006:
Perverse Through the Table Coins through the table is a classic effect but putting coins (and other objects) through a table is a great opportunity to show a “Perverse Magic” effect. Let me give you some examples: 1 Coin – only half a coin goes through 2 Sugar Cube – Sugar goes through – wrapper doesn’t 3 Dollar Bill – Only picture of “head” goes through – not rest of bill 4 Bent Coin The “bent coin” (a coin folded into a “C”) is written up in “Modern Coin Magic” (Bobo) on page 186 a great “prop” for Perverse Magic. The bent quarter can be used to create a Perverse coin through the table. The routine I do is to first pass a quarter through the table and explain I was lucky that it went so easily. That doesn’t always happen. Well, since I’m feeling lucky I’ll just do it again. This time I have trouble and I give up when I show the quarter is bent. |

Man, now that's way better than the regular coins through table any day of the week, riding or walking.
Just some really wonderful & clever work there...Magical! Imagine all the stuff out there like this that's hardly ever seen... 🤔 And honestly, the only coin through glass I've seen that was truly remarkable to witness is when Mickey Silver through a silver dollar through a glass door. It looked absolutely amazing! I know it's not a table but same thing really but even more dynamic IMHO, or maybe that's just another story. Anyway, thanks for the peek dj...that one is really hard to beat.

Hey dj, all the videos here are nicely done in this genre as to a coin going through glass. The illusions are amazing, but I like when the coin goes through the glass door as it is such a big feat to see. Both of those vids are some strong magic to witness (and I love that 2nd one), hard to resist the creative perfection of the illusion. I actually used to do it myself.
To me, going through the glass table (or a regular table) seems more intimate a demonstration, but still very nice and Michael Eaton's effect proves that. But if you want to make a big splash, take that baby right through a glass door, and you absolutely blow people right out their shoes! *Incidentally, Doug...Mickey Silver actually did that exact effect at a big magic convention once with Vinny sitting at the same table with several other magicians. He said when the coin went through the table, it struck the guy next to him right on the toe of his shoe, it both spooked and startled him, and helped to usher-in the fine abilities of Mickey Silver, the man, the myth and the legend.

MB's reference to putting a coin though a glass door jogged my memory. Saw John Cornelius do a muscle pass routine of coin through glass door, it got gasps.

Mickey Silver's coin through glass table is a shocker. Did it for me 2004 Cape Cod Conclave. Even better is his Spit Fly routine.

Larry, the Spit Fly routine is the one that did it for me! I wish there was a video so all can see the wonder!
