Has anyone bought it?
https://www.ellusionist.com/revive-dust.html To be honest, I was expecting something cheaper than $14.95... |

They must have just released it. I believe they are releasing a few things this week, along with a free shipping event. Yeah, almost 15 bucks might be a little pricey, but if you have issues with making the dust, or don't want to spend the time, might not be a bad price for 60-80 gimmicks. About .18 to .25 cents per gimmick/performance at that price.

In this product: https://www.ellusionist.com/revive-dust.html say "Although any time spent on Revive is more than worth it, arts & crafts isn't for everyone. Each Revive Dust pack holds enough magic powder to be able to make around 60-80 gimmicks and will have you making 60 gaffs in minutes instead of hours."
Its out of stock... anybody here already bought this? The powder that ellusionist sell here is the same material of the "card" ? I think that this will not exposure and only people that own the trick will understand what I mean... Anybody know a brand of powder that will works nice? |

While the gimmick seems like it might be a little difrerent, the effect is basically the same as Dave Forest’s Ripped and Repaired from his ebook of the same name. In that effect , the corner of a card is torn, then stapled back on. You then visually remove the tear line with your finger and the card is handed out.
Revive looks great. Dave’s Ripped and Repaired hasn’t yet been acknowledged as the prescident to this effect so just wanted to inform people of it.

After seeing a few months of "where's the dust" posts, any idea when we can expect it to be back in stock? I bought it a few days ago having no idea what the dust was and now wish I could get my hands on some. And I'm not lazy, I just find it would be worth the money.

I'm late to the party with this one after a few years away from magic, but .... this is awesome, with the right presentation its what real magic looks like, brilliant.

Just signed up to be advised when (if?) it's back in stock. For now, I'm doing it ala Ustaad's 'routine.'

Thanks for the heads up! Makes me feel like I should snag the other one even though I'm guessing I'll not change the effect based on it..

I purchased one of these and it works much better than the suggested scissors: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00132......F8&psc=1

Is there something about that particular razor blade that works better than a standard one? The ad copy suggests the razor is thicker. Or do you think any razor blade would suffice?

Split cards if you want to but plain white paper in a vice with a coarse file will give you all the magic dust you need. It works fine for making gimmicks.
