I didn't know where to post this....
Where does Docc find all that sweet music he uses in his video promos for his effects? |

The ones I've heard are usually classic rock, blues or pop (Pink Floyd, John Lee Hooker, etc.), sooo I'm guessing...iTunes?
The thing I love about Docc's promos (at least the ones I've seen) are that he spends about 3 seconds on the brand graphic/intro music and gets right to the setup or demonstration. Most Promo/YouTubers drag their brand intro out to around 30-seconds or more. Very annoying IMO. I'm sure they all watched the same video production webinar, "You've got to make sure that your brand is the one thing that your marks - I mean "customers" - remember. So waste their time and BURN IT INTO THEIR BRAINS!" Brand your video and move on, please. Like with so many of his products, Docc knows what he's doing. So, thanks, Docc! |

I was talking about the vids on his website. He's got a number of products for sale and many have a video promo attached. I haven't seen his vids on Penguin.

Absolutely brilliant. On his site they are from B rated movies from the 50"s and psychedelic 60"s themes. Stuff that these days gets cult followings.
He even draws from old Bollywood B rated movies that look like they are from the 50's or 60's. They are the most creative and entertaining trailers I've ever seen. I doubt he would be paying a big company to create these for him, too expensive. I've always supposed that a very creative friend of his was behind the editing and production of putting these together. They are film art for sure. |

I'm pretty confident his daughter does the film work. I just dig that groovy music. Neat stuff!
