Got this - it is very nice. Lives up to the hype in my opinion. Some concerns - are replacement parts available, heating element, switch, fan, etc. The cotton will need to be replaced. Lot of handling and routine stuff in the video, but nothing about care and maintenance.

But practically seen it is a very quiet unit. So no problem of any noise from the unit. My opinion please.

Again - could anyone address the care, maintenance, and repairs of this. It doesn't appear to lend itself to easy fixes if something fails. I already sent one back because the fan didn't work. There are also potential electronic issues, cotton needing replacement, heating coil, etc. It doesn't appear like you can take this apart and do it yourself. There is also nothing in the instructional video addressing these issues. For $250 you would think some time and insight would be given to these questions.

As with most reputable electronic manufacturers, I do hope this comes with a minimum 1 year manufacturers warranty to cover unexpected breakages etc. If the manufacturer doesn't offer that, then that's usually not a great sign.

I hope this make sense but if it is in "remote" mode, I press the button and say, after 5 seconds the smoke will come out if I wish but if I am not holding the device now, for example it may be in a box, bag, glass etc. can I set it so that the smoke only comes out for a certain length of time.
As an example, if I was doing the smoke in glass, I would not want the smoke being produced for a long time as I am nowhere near it to "switch it off". I would want to press the button so that after , say 5 seconds, smoke is produced for a pre-determined set time that I require or does it have to go for the full 30 seconds ?. Thanks, Stuart.

So I just received my unit and within six hours of opening it, the heating element failed and thus no smoke comes out. Very disappointed. Returning for a refund.

I got mine yesterday and it's really amazing how much smoke this produces. My room looks like there was a barbecue inside :p I love this. |

OK... for those of us that purchased it, is there any interest in starting a new thread for usage ideas of the cube? There's some clever ideas in the instructional video, but I've been trying to come up with others that fit what I do. Anyone up for some brainstorming?

Next question... does anyone know if the Smoke Cube has any "auto off" function? In other words, is there a limit to how far in advance you can program the device and have it ready? In a similar vein, any idea how long a full charge would last with the unit turned on waiting to be "triggered"?
Tada!...

Nice to hear that. And that's called good and prompt customer service in the true sense. Such prompt action on the part of the seller inculcates confidence in the buyer.
