Anyone know the best way to remove the cover on a paperback novel??

A local full-service printer can probably put it in his shear and cut the binding off cleanly. It takes about five seconds, and is much neater than trying to do it yourself.

Or you may be able to put a couple of clamps on the book, clamp a steel rule to the edge and have a go with a 'stanley' knife or similar sharp knife. It'd take a few cuts, but should be ok.

You'd have to be careful though - I won[t accept any responsibility for unjury caused through using this method.

Try running a hot iron over the spine. One or two swipes with iron will loosen the glue and the cover will come off no problem.
