This is a wonderful piece of mentalism.
Here’s the website with description and video demo: https://www.jamiedaws.co.uk/pinthief Description from website: “The idea that someone could know your deepest darkest thoughts is terrifying. But someone knowing the PIN to your bank account is even more frightening! You ask the spectator to write down their PIN number. However, because of the sensitive nature of what is about to happen, they should change one of the digits. Once done, two more cards are introduced and on each, the performer has written "Computer Password" and "Internet History". Two more pieces of information the spectator might not want people to know! The spectators PIN is mixed into the other two cards so that no one knows where the spectators information is. Then, the performer manages, to discern which card has their sensitive information without looking! All three cards are placed in the spectators hands and the performer now delves into the vaults of the spectators mind and reveals their PIN! Not only that, but the performer then whispers in the spectators ear and tells them which number they changed! Finally, for a truly kicker ending, you prove that now you have their PIN, you can also steal their card. With a brush of the hand, the spectator discovered they are now only holding 2 cards!! Their PIN number has vanished and is found inside the performers pocket or wallet! This is a killer routine, super commercial and great fun to perform! Filmed in the awesome Alakazam Studios, I am also joined by the incredibly creative Dave Loosley who also adds some brilliant little extras!” It plays exactly as the description reads. It uses some lovely combinations of principles which makes for a very effective routine. In essence, they write their PIN but change a number for privacy reasons. Their card gets mixed amongst two others. You are then able to find their card amongst the three, call out the pin they wrote down, make their card with their pin very cleanly vanish and appear in your pocket, and then you can whisper their actual pin into their ear*. It really is a fantastic routine which is very fun and involved for the spectator. There’s also so many great magical moments. You find their card, then you steal their thought, then you steal their card, then you tell them their actual pin*! That is a lot of magic in a very short amount of time. The various methods all work great together and blend very nicely into a practical and hard hitting routine. For the price you can’t go wrong! As always if you have any questions, I will do my best to answer them. Madison *apparently |

Thank you for the amazing review Madison!
John, you will never actually know their full pin. This method does not allow for that. However, it will appear that you do! Furthermore, those uncomfortable will the prospect of taking down a PIN number, Dave has a great solution to this which we discuss on the download! Jamie Daws

It would indeed! Any four digits can be used! As long as they remember them of course!

Loved the effect! Changed it slightly to suit me, but that's the brilliant part it's easy to make your own. The underlying core method and structure can also be used to with other presentations. I like things that are this adaptable. Great work Jamie!
All the best, Daniel Young |
