Hi!
I tried looking for this question in the forum, so forgive me if this was already asked. I need a sheet of paper that looks and feels similar to flash paper. I need a sheet like a computer printer paper, or at least the size of a notebook page, approximately of course. The point is that a very small paper will not work for my purpose. (If you need to know for what, the idea is to cut a small piece so if I burn the flash paper this piece will not burn) Thanks!
Have a nice day

Onionskin typing paper is fairly similar in texture and appearance to flash paper. You can (sometimes) find it in antique stores and secondhand shops. Craft stores may also have something similar in their scrapbooking section.

This stuff is VERY close in texture and feel to flash paper. I have a roll I have been using for a couple of years now. You will never run out.

I hesitate to even mention this, but please read carefully. I think ordinary tissue paper is the closest match to flash paper.
Thing is, they have changed tissue paper that comes in gift boxes, for like neckties, shirts, dresses, etc. I went to Wal-Mart, purchases a package of tissue paper in the gift section. Went home and lit it, and it flared up with a giant flame, it nearly caught the house on fire, never seen such a huge giant flame from such a small piece of paper. This paper had a smooth side, and that must have been a form of plastic coating. The only place to possible find ordinary tissue paper these days would be a very good craft store. It has to have no smooth shiny side. Be very careful testing, this stuff can be dangerous. |

Yes, the tissue paper that use to be used in fine men’s stores to wrap shirts is similar. The tissue at Target that you stuff gift bags is pretty similar too.
