Hi,

We open a new show this year and need to do some flying. Does anyone know who I can contact? Who designed Peter Marvery's Dream Flying etc.

Any advice would be great.

Check Magic Auctions illusion page website. There is a rigging designed by Don Wayne at a great price.

You might want to check out Syd Shepherd's. He's cool.
Bob Burns is the creator of The Swan.

Where can I find a link to Syd Shepherd? I am also interested in developing a stage flying.
I have been in touch with some people but no luck so far.

Is Peter Marvey's flying illusion similar to Copperfield's?

Rick Thomas did a flying/air dance routine also. It was on one of the WGM specials.

I think what Rick Thomas did is called AirTime and if it is then it was Gary Ouellet's idea.

Rick's wasn't AirTime. John Gabriel performed the AirTime on WGM.

What is Rick's version then? And is it similar to Marvey, Galina etc.?

Rick Thomas does (or recently did) perform AirTime in his Las Vegas show. Brett Daniels has also done it, and it is on his website video section. Though it appears to be a slightly modified version of it.

The Copperfield version was designed by John Gaughan. Flying By "FOY" (a production company) has various different types of "Flying." They have different equipment for different types of shows...I know that they can give you the Copperfield impact. It can be costly...they rent all of the equipment to you...a tech to show you the workings and set-up....so they should be able to help.

Let me know if this helps.

If anyone has a few bucks and is looking for some GREAT flying effects, then I would recommend contacting ZFX. They have become the leading theatrical flying source. (Currently they are ahead of FOY.) Check out the videos on their site to see some of their AMAZING work. http://www.zfxflying.com
