I am almost never 100% happy with anything I release because it's never 'good enough' for me. But I can honestly say that Geocache is the one thing I have created where every minute detail is so thoroughly polished that I actually can't make it any more perfect - I've tried. So again, I am super thrilled that the attention to detail has not been lost on everyone who has purchased this so far and thank-you all for the wonderful comments. Of course, the pdf for this must also be equally 'perfect'. I am near completion with it and really just fine tuning the entire thing now. After that, it's a little bit of webwork on my site to create a page for Geocache and it's good to go. It will definitely be available later on sometime this evening. Thanks again for all the wonderful responses so far. |

Thanks Pegasus.
I'm just a one man operation. I don't release any of my work through any dealers or major companies and a lot of it I give away freely. Even if I wanted to have a video demo, I simply don't have the skills or equipment to shoot and edit a video for this. I have to rely on the testimony of those who purchase on good faith from me as an aid to help me bring attention to my work. |

If you're familiar at all with Cassidy original it is much the same in most respects. But unlike the original, there is no going into the pocket and coming out with slips which you then write on. Your hands are basically empty during the entire routine. Other than that, there is a small plastic tupperware container box with an official geocache label on it which is used to not only bring validity to the geocache presentation, but also to help the participants mentally select any item they wish by acting as a visual aid. This is a professional performance piece that includes everything - even presentation. The presentation is tied into the method and vice-versa. There's really not much else I can say because in this routine "the devil is in the details".
Again, if you're familiar with the Cassidy routine it is very similar in nature in most respects other than the fact that there are a few visualization aids and no slips in your hands. |

I think Sudo would be okay with me saying that the tupperware contains some blank pieces of cards and pens. Very similar to real geocaches, which always have a log and something to write with. The cards are used very much like the original effect, but the elimination is done with the tupperware. The 'disqualified' card is sealed in the tupperware long before the meat of the routine starts (and is further obscured - you could use an opaque container if you wished).
Side note, I read that the 'gold standard' for geocaches is actually old ammo containers, since they are weather proof and super sturdy. If it fit your character, you could use one.

OK, calm down and don't send your blood pressure thru the roof.
I meant what I said as far as not being critical. Just a friendly reminder that it's easy to make statements with the best intentions and then not follow thru. First of all, I had never heard of Sudo prior to this thread so this isn't any sour grapes over not getting free stuff as you seem to imply. I know nothing about free items. The way I understood it is that the product would be up for sale on his site last evening. I agree this isn't a big deal but my point was simply that it is a slippery slope and things can get out of control very easily. Things ALWAYS take longer than you think so a good habit is building in some cushion when it comes to stating a timeframe. Even the best of us can form bad habits. First, you're a day late, then a week, and it can snowball. That's all I'm saying. Sudo sounds like a great guy, but it can happen to great guys and I would hate to see it happen to him. Sorry, but the product sounds really great and I'm just excited to get it ASAP. |

It's ok and quite honestly, I'm not offended.
I am having web site problems at the moment. First, I locked myself out of the back end of my site which took several hours to get resolved, and then when I finally got logged in, my theme and almost all of my plugins needed updates as the last time I logged in was about 3 months ago. So I went ahead and did them. Unfortunately, some of those updates broke parts of my site and I didn't have a back up made in order to be able restore certain things. So now the site is offline while I am feverishly working on getting it all fixed. I'm not a web guy at all and had to learn how to do all this stuff on my own, so it looks like I made a classic mistake from what I've learned after looking into all this. LESSON: If you're going to install theme and plug-in updates to your website, ALWAYS BACK THE SITE UP FIRST. So that's what's happening. I don't know how much longer it's going to take to get it all restored. All I can say is that I'm working on it as fast as I can. |

Ouch...lesson learned! I made that mistake on my business site ONCE. It was worse though, since I also erased by entire customer database as well. And it was not backed up. We were down for several days. Been backing up before any changes religiously ever since.

So when the theme updated...it lost all the custom coding. Most definitely a lesson learned. The good news however, is that I didn't have a whole lot of content on my site to begin with, so I imagine it should only take me a few more hours to fix. I've already gotten a good chunk of it finished. |

After many headaches with the website, everything's been fixed and Geocache is officially available now.
